Great game as always! Just one thing I have seen in all games involving Skaven: The Grey Seer has toughness of 4, not 3. Also, while being atop the Screaming bell, he can refuse challenges by hidding there (remember that Skavens can choose who refuses the challenge). This let's the challenger attack as per usual (from another game against Skaven).

loving your vids, mate! Actually got me to go down in the basement to unpack my Hordes of Chaos that have layed dormant for 10+ years. Just unpacked and arrayed them. Old school Chaos Warriors have not aged too well but the Aspiring Champion of Khorne on his pile of skulls still holds up lol

Always a pleasure to see a new upload! I picked up Warhammer 6th edition again (the king of editions!) a few years back after a long break and this channel is such an inspiration for both painting and playing Warhammer. My life is quite intense and there is not much space left for the hobby, but when I see another 6th edition battle report I bring out the paints and paint a few strokes while listening to the game taking place. Keep it up!

Thank you for another awesome video! I was a bit disappointed to have the Hamsterwheel of Doom destroyed before it got to do anything, because I really wanted to see what it could do (not that well-versed in Skaven am I), but otherwise this was intense! Keep up the good work ^^

Strange game, but enjoyable. The skaven player need more games, some of his decisions didn't make many sense...the magic missile is quite better at 9+ (with 3D6 has good probability, and remember that any 1s when you roll for number of hits is a hit on you), the stormvermins were in a terrible position since the deployment and then played in a "banzai mode", and kill the fanatics not make any sense when you are in a defensive position...they will probably help you! Stos, about your list...if i were you, i would consider to take a 2nd dispel scroll. With only 3 dispel dice you can be absolutely smashed by heavy magic army lists. Looking foward new battle report!!

GG. War machines can’t be in difficult terrain (woods and such). It’s in the annual 2002 (war machines). One advise: trolls should be in 4 but 2 as you don’t have a rank with 3 in V6. One more guy for the fight !

Think the night goblins may have been permitted to pursue the slaves when they fled due to panic as they were already engaged in combat, but I’m not 100% certain

Oh buddy i enjoyed this battle so much. Since you posted it a few days ago i kept it there just to watch it just after finishing my last master degree exam. So today it's been the great day and i when the exam was done i run home to watch you! Yess believe it or not 😜 And know what? Taking some beers while enjoying your video and i was even yelling "Gorfang Irontusk" name when you rolling for how many attacks and while hitting and so on 😂 yeah i'm such i geek! Felt so good when he smashed such many of those filthy rats... Eww hate em 😅 anyway well done, great job and keep going! This channel gonna grow for sure since you do an amazing work! Are there any Empire generals you can bring to your channel? I don't have Empire but would be nice to see them there (I'm high elves, lizardmen and Vampire Counts but still played Empire sometimes and it's cool to see us -humans- fighting for freedom against all those who wanna finish us) Cheers from Barcelona, Spain!

I rewatched the battle and I did like the different Skaven list. Though I would play the rat ogers as a support flanking unit. With no rank bonus and no armor can have hard time against strong units and/or characters. The Ratling gun when get a 5 or 6 I would hesitant to re-roll if I am in an indecisive moment of the game.

Slaves fleeing through fanatics: per the Annual clarifications on fleeing the controlling player does have input on the fleeing direction within the boundaries of the fleeing rules. Being that one of the main rules is that units should flee away from what caused them to panic (the night goblins in this case actually as THEY released the fanatics) whilst staying as far from enemy units as possible, they could have fled through the gap between the fanatics an the woods. At no point were they 'forced' to run through the fanatics (like they would be if bound by impassable terrain on one side and a line of fanatics behind). This has occurred a few times on the channel and rarely was that line of retreat the only one. In this case it would have allowed the Skaven player to not block his line of advance with some fleeing slaves.

At the same time, the fleeing rules are a mess and it affected nowt. Also even 23 years later it's still the thing that slows my games the most. Almost just prefer the 7th ed version where you could flee through your own units and cause a panic check dependant on unit strength. It was simpler at least.

Agreed, the fleeing/panic rules are my least favourite thing about 6th Ed. The fact that one of your own units fleeing or being destroyed by shooting behind you can force a unit to flee towards the enemy makes my teeth grind.

Hey mate cant wait to watch this. Im not hung up on anything competitive so it doesnt overly matter to me but the black orc warboss cant have the ironskin shield and battleaxe of the last waaagh. Unfortunately that comes in at 125 pts. Easy mistake if you use dwarf lords alot but a black orc warboss can only have 100pts of magic items whereas a dwarf lord can have 125.

I may have an interesting idea You could do 2v2 battle some day Personally I have already fought that kind of battle with my friends as Lizardmen with Dwarfes against Orcs and Goblins allied with Vampire Count and it was awesome I really recommend to one day fight that kind of battle

Nah mate, you only roll for the wounds you lost. So if you have one troll left on one wound, you only ever roll one regen dice to see if he survives.

Excellent entertainment. Once again, lovely looking painted armies. Skaven in the badlands? watch out Karak Hirn, theres ratfolk in your area .. never a good sign. I believe it was the Nuln philosopher Bertholdt Schreibermann III who theorised, following a most stimulating cheese dream, vermin are all around us. Of course his work was completely poopooed and ridiculed by the governing body of Nuln's academia for his outrageous ideas, he died destitute not long after. Less than a decade later Nuln was sacked by Skaven, but no one likes to talk about that, within a year the existence of ratmen was once again nothing more than a filthy urban myth.

I assume these battles are not competitive, but: strategically, is there any value in bringing 6 trolls instead of 3? Seems to me like a pretty suboptimal choice. You're paying a lot of points when they are not going to anyway outnumber any infantry unit. Only 3 attack anyway. So, at the end, you're paying 150 extra points for some additional wounds, and putting a lot of eggs into a basket that might fail a stupidity test at the worst possible moment :D. You could get another full night goblin unit with fanatics for that, right?

You cannot hit four trolls with the Warp Lightning cannon like that.. It is like a normal cannon so with a width of three.. That is it. Hardly any need to make that thing even better..

Skaven is a bit where the .. A little too much power creep started in 6th Ed.. Maybe High Elves. But the Ratling gun, the Warp Lightning cannon and the Skaven magic is at times a little too strong.. No need to roll to hit for thye Ratling gun is silly.. No need for line of sight for the Warp Ligntning cannon is just as silly.. The magic with Warp lightning is a little too good too.. Meanwhile, orcs & Goblins, second book, is like playing another edition.. Black orc Boss taking up two Hero slots.. just TSUPID. Ponits is what should be the thing. if he is good he costs more points. Which he does.. No one else get anything stupid like that.. If they started the edition with such restrictions, lifting them half way through is retarded.. GW has alkways been like that, very inconsistent but it pisses me off to this day.. Orcs & Goblins, always released early witha fun and good book, THEN, then basically shit on.. it is sad and shows how unbalanced GW is and was. And people take tournaments seriously? Ina serious unbalanced game..? Well.. Says it all.
