I don't mind any army per-say, but any "flavour of the month net-list that won tournament X" is annoying. If you're tournament testing, fine: but be up front about it, not for a casual game. As for armies, I've got: Imperial Guard that I started with in 4th, Grey Knights that were Daemonhunters from 4th, Space Marine bike army (5th), Deathwatch (started as a Kill Team in 4th, graduated to a SM army in 5th centred around Sternguard, then updated to full army from Deathwatch: Overkill box and is now my primary army), Eldar (5th) and Custodes (technically 9th). Six is enough to be going on with I think!
Love the collection 9 is a wild number! Yeah if your wanting to test a list out then letting your opponent know first just makes for an overall better game.
Just found the podcast. Great listen! I have 4 40k armies and am just starting an AOS army. For 40k I am rocking Thousand Sons (So sorry), Aeldari (also so sorry), Chaos Knights, and Custodes.
For me, it's definitely genestealers. I always have to bite my tongue because the last thing I would ever want to do is to make my opponent feel bad or that I'm having a bad time purely because of their army choice. I dont want to be "That Guy". But those old demo charges, you would just look at your list and be like, right, I'm going to get three of these units just picked up and there is practically nothing I can do about it
At the start of this edition it was the Aeldari for obvious reasons. Now I dislike fighting into Deathguard, decent indirect, lethal hits everywhere and cheap and powerful characters.
Im half way through and so far jack doesnt like playing orks and tsons, if i hear templars before the end of this video i know this is personal! 👀🤣 Great watch as always boys! Best warhammer podcasters out there imo 👌
Tsons was a bit horrid like; thank god for the nerf. Orks aren't any good anymore; they made meganobz silly expensive and naff. super easy to tie up orks too just use a c'tan or two they can't deal with them at all. Thankfully they've nerfed indirect in pariah; always have a lot of fun when my opponent shoots me off the board from the other end of the table. Additional armies always good to have when GW decide to publish a naff codex or nerf your current weapon of choice into oblivion; 3 so far for me and only demons hasn't been nuked by GW yet. Orks is da best; should reprioritise the bad lads to the front of the Queue.
