Same, but to make thing a bit better, Charles will voice Mario and Mini Mario in Mario Vs Donkey Kong, Mario in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Luigi and Mario in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD which all three comes out next year :)
Definitely the weakest recast so far. For Mario, you have to listen real closely to tell it’s not Charles, and Luigi sounds nigh indistinguishable from Charles’s performance. And we have yet to even hear Waluigi.
New Wario sounds like he's trying too hard, like he has to force the voice out with all his might it sounds painful and not natural at all. Tbf it's a voice that takes a lot of effort to pull off, but voices like that don't always mean going full throttle and blowing out your throat. Maybe he just needs to grow into the role/we've only heard the weirdly delivered lines, but for the sake of this guy's vocal health Nintendo might wanna look into other options for next time
That "WAAH" didn't really FEEL or SOUNDED anything like the old wario, it sounded like the new guy was going through an aneurysm and it's SO BAD, it also felt like the REAL wario that we knew and loved is...gone...it's like someone stole wario for what he is and was, and is replaced by an imposter, ABSOLUTE CRINGE!👎fire this "new wario voice actor" immediately! Bring back the OG wario we all loved😭
The sound bite from the first trailer may have not been the best, but hearing more of it, i think it sounds pretty good-more gruffy and scratchy, pretty much how i imagined Wario should've sounded like.
Source? Because I see no confirmation of Tom Root. But what I do know is that Óscar Flores (Wario's Latin Spanish voice actor in WarioWare: Get It Together!) he did previously voiced him in Robot Chicken.
I can’t be the only one who’s still sad that Charles Martinet is retiring voicing, I’m never gonna get used to this new Wario’s Voice it sounds awful imo
I’m not going to hate it cuz being a voice actor for Mario and wario and many more is mighty big shoes to fill. I’m sure I’ll get used to it over time. I will miss Charles doing the voices but I’m glad his still doing what he loves to travel the world to share the love of Mario.
The performance is pretty good, nails Warios grumpiness. But charles's voice has a certain timbre to it thats really iconic, and not easy to duplicate.
I'll be blunt. I think this guy's taken Wario to the next level. In my brain, the new voice just makes so much sense. Growing up with Charles was great, don't get me wrong - but if that was good, this is extraordinary to me.
When I heard Charles was stepping down I wasn’t initially too worried since it’s honestly pretty easy to impersonate Mario, Luigi, and Waluigi. I knew that Wario was going to be something incredibly difficult to do though, since his voice is pretty hard to do for a lot of people, along with how Charles gave him so much extra personality and just seemed to have so much more fun with the character then I feel others will do. This was my biggest fear and while the voice is passable, it’s still not really going to feel right to me, it probably never will if this is the voice nintendo is sticking with. Personally I think that they should’ve tried to get the guy that voiced Wario in Mario party 2 to pick up the roll again but that’s just me. We’ll all miss you Charles, and thank you so much for bringing these amazing characters to life.
I don’t blame the voice actors not hitting it voices on the nail. Especially, given this is their first time’s voicing the characters. They have big shoes to fill in and I bowl they can improve as time goes on.
Well the WarioWare games started to have different voice acting depending on the language since WarioWare Gold. There is also italian, french, spanish and japanese voice acting. And definetly more than what i remember
Ngl, I actually think it’s pretty good. It’s definitely different than Charles Martinet but I bet I’ll get used to it eventually. The way Wario says this line is actually funny to me. 😂
It's honestly pretty decent, and I've gotten used to it. Plus, it did take Martinet a few years to nail the voice too...Doesn't change the fact he kinda sounds like either a pirate or someone from East London-
It’s just my guess but I think Wario’s new VA, at least in WarioWare: Move It, is Kellen Goff. I mean, he can make his voice sound very gruff and deep and he has voice acted in his fair share of video games (most notably Five Nights At Freddy’s) and anime like the other modern WarioWare voice actors (which include Stephanie Sheh, Melissa Hutchison, Kyle Hebert, Fryda Wolff, Cristina Valenzuela, and Robbie Daymond, and they all voiced plenty of anime (or at least animation in general) and/or video game characters)
to be fair, not the same, but, he did great for his first run. give it time. he’ll probably get into it in a few more new games. after all, he’s got pretty big shoes he stepped into.
This is his first time as Wario, he's definitely good but as time goes on he'll get more comfortable with his role, Martinet is still the GOAT when it comes to all of them but it's completely understandable
Honestly, I works enough for me. I'm not expecting a perfect recast anyways (even if Luigi's new VA is practically indistinguishable from Charles). As long as they keep the general sound and I don't personally (emphasis on personally) find the voice grating, I'm fine with it.
Wario doesn’t sound bad, Nintendo did a good job keeping the voices of Mario, Luigi, and Wario pretty similar to how Charles Martinet sounds. It sucks, but the voices do sound great. Props to the voice actors
While the Martinet voice is great, I personally feel that the new voice fits him more. Martinet’s Wario voice sounds like a slightly aggressive Mario... wait….
