Smooth Moves was great, aside from that final boss dancing minigame.

They stripped this game off its most iconic feature, such a pity

Metroid, Pokemon, Zelda Pretty big year in between all the brilliant smaller titles. It's the best of all worlds and i love it!

Wario Land?

...He's had like 6 or 7. Granted, the first Wario Land was still a Mario game with largely Mario-style gameplay similar to SML2, so I guess that one wasn't completely unique, but then there was VB Wario Land, Wario Land 2-4, Wario Land Shake It, and Wario World, and unlike the first Wario Land, the later ones are much more unique and not as dependent on Mario-style gameplay.

imo wario ware is a great franchise

I thought Warioware looked dumb at first, too, but it was a glowing X-Play review for Warioware: Twisted back in the day that got me to try it out. Been a fan ever since!

I heard that some people didn't like these. I personally found them to be great but it was a bit unusual.

Yeah, the lack of voice acting was a missed opportunity. I do feel that the character interactions before the stages more than make up for it, though.

On the plus side, we won’t get people complaining about the voice acting. I legit saw someone say the English voice acting in Gold was “fake audio”, and that they wanted to play with “real audio” (Japanese). I guess Charles Martinet is fake.

I'm glad they didn't do that, actually. While I loved Wario Ware Twisted, I think adding different types of controls undermines the simplicity that makes the original great. I imagine many people (myself included) would get quite frustrated if they had to ask themselves at the beginning of each minigame, "Okay, do I use button controls, motion controls, touch controls, or the camera?"

@@blizzagasaga8676I mean, WarioWare Smooth Moves kinda did that with different ways to hold the Wii Remote, not to mention WarioWare Gold.

It’s because of the switch Lite, there’s no IR camera and using motion controls by moving the entire console can be annoying

I'm okay with it not. Wario Ware Gold was a good celebration of all the gimmicky hardware-reliant stuff they used up until that point and it doesn't need to follow up with more of the same. I enjoy the new direction for this game.

The Paper Mario police wrecked Intelligent Studios again and forced them to arbitrarily simplify or whatever

Does anyone really take guidance from IGN? I love their podcasts but find their scoring off at times, I guess all reviews are the opinion of a single person. Either way I’m amped for this the demo is quality. On a side Shift Happens is on the craziest sale, pick that up last night and seems fun.

I played smooth moves on the wii and it was hilarious, the demo for this one is good enough for you to check if you wanna buy the full version (I already ordered my copy)

@@tonydelat2322 I've downloaded the demo, so, I'll definitely give it a go. I tend to do a lot of single player, so, I'm hoping it's just as fun solo; the co-op aspect looks like the main selling point.

I doubt it'll go on sale anytime soon (official first party release) so I'll be grabbing it right away. Super Monkey Ball will probably go on sale faster so I'm gonna wait for that one.

Its nintendo. That will sadly most likely never happen.

If you’re new to the franchise, you might not enjoy it. If you’re a wario/warioware fan, you’ll love it. That’s my take.

The Mario party would be worth it more than this imo, since mario party is a bit more kid friendly, especially if they’re younger. The new MP is going to be porting aspects from the previos games so honestly I think stick with MP and if you wanna try warioware, you can get the free demo on the eshop

@@daniw.4077 I bit the bullet and bought this today. It's hard for me to resist a new Nintendo release because they're just so darn fun. Played the story mode with my 11 year old and loved it. Next month is Mario Party!!

@@Mysticalturkey Shake It! released on the Wii and it was pretty good, though it lacked the edge that the originals did (Good Feel made it, so the music and tone resembled their later Kirby and Yoshi stuff more than Wario).
