Warley show 2023 I've tried to show the manufacturers cabinets in the first half of this film as best I could. Didn't get to film everything but I did my best. Enjoy.
Nice to see so many new models, but unfortunately only people who are well paid can afford them, nice video its nice to see whats new instead of watching layouts all the time,
Nice to see Big Emma (aka Bertha, Liz or just the Lickey Banker) appearing in rtr form. Though, as a more pendantic friend pointed out, strictly speaking you should only run her if you've modelled the Birmingham & Gloucester main line from Bromsgrove to Blackwell! She'd be more than hard put to haul main line freight drags, as I've seen in the makers own film - shoving trains up the Lickey was her sole purpose in life, and she did it very well, but whether she could produce steam fast enough for a sustained run of that sort is a moot point!
Gauge is the distance between the rails. Scale is the size relative to real prototype. You would think that manufactuters would know this by now. Many scales use HO gauge track, but not all of them are HO scale.
I thank what the contributor above is trying to say, is that although these stunning 00 models are accurate right down to the last rivet, the track gauge is sadly undersized. Originally in the Edwardian period the smallest gauge was 0. HO gets its name from „half 0“ which, as you know works out to approximately 1:87 scale, meaning 00 models are over scale for the gauge of track. At least I think that is what he was trying to say.
