Yes - our choice is based upon what is best for the spiritual and human development of our children. I personally would choose to live somewhere else if not for our young family.

Being able to care for three family members as they approached death is difficult and a great honor. I thank God for helping me do that.

Many years ago I was in a group & one of many subjects we discussed was about the word “try.” The leader of the group said we don’t try, we either do or not do. I think that little green character in Star Wars said that. This was a group of Christians. The older- really much older, I am, I understand this better. Someone might say they are trying to do things for God for their spiritual life (and I really want to be with God for Eternity.) I said you are not trying, you are “doing.” Even if by grace from God or however else we keep doing things, asking for heavenly help, we just keep on doing what will glorify God, for us &/or another. But I sense darkness between myself & God, will falter in doing anything. Well, this doesn’t sound helpful at all, like it did when thinking about it. I just encourage you to keep on the path you are on. Keep asking for help. The Rosary is my best help, tho I pray for a whole lot more than one Rosary (5 Decades) might cover. There are Chaplets, prayers I say, hoping to get me & others to Eternity with God. Just don’t stop what you are doing. I hope we will see results when God knows we need it. I also hope you read this just knowing I am wanting to share some of my journey, & will pray you stay on your path to that “narrow gate.” For me the path to that gate is really hazardous, which I don’t recall the nuns or priests telling me. God knows you, & looking back, I see how I have been helped by Him. So, I now ask for the basics - the Holy Eucharist and Confession, for myself and continue to do the little I feel able to do. I do have Joy in my heart even while my heart is broken. Praying for others seems to be what God wants and I certainly hope it is. I love still learning about the Saints, the Mass, the benefits of the Mass the Holy Eucharist, Confession, & from people like Ken & Janelle?. I am old & still learning from much younger people. This is how God is helping me & hopefully you, too. I will pray for you. God bless you for sharing. You have helped me.

@@user-yw8cl1tx3l thank you for sharing this. After reading your comment I went back and did some editing to my comment because what you shared made sense. I will keep this in mind now. Not only in thinking about myself but others. I hope to never stop seeking to learn more about all things eternal. I so desire to reach the end of my life and be ready to step over to what will simply feel like finally getting to go to the home I've longed for. I've had many friends who were or are much older than me. Right now I'm in close contact with my husband's grandmother who's 95, another friend who's 93, and a friend 85. All much older than me and yet, I'm honestly not sure they are ready. They are all still quite interested in their worldly activities. I guess it's nice to be as good mentally and physically as they are but for what? Only reason I'd like that many more years is to spend it on reparations, charity, and becoming even closer to the Trinity. Well, I guess I've gone on long enough. God bless you🙏💕 Bless you
