We hear how amazing Jani's voice is and know he puts on a fabulous show but this is one of those very special moments when he was on fire. He was a f****** Rockstar he knew it and he was going to give his fans everything that he had. What a fantastic show. Forever grateful for the people that took the time to film so we can add them to our list of memories.
Jani was hands down the best frontman in rock and also the best lyricist by far. Go listen to all the deep cuts and not just from the first two albums. I’m talking about all through his career. The man knew how to write a damn song unlike some others that got way too much credit. Miss you Jani
YEAH!!! Tampa,St Pete and Clearwater. Was not old enough to attend, never new how much Jani loved this area and our whole state until last year. I've heard him go on about FL very postively in these priceless videos. I know he struggled so much and so did the people around him that truly loved him. I'm glad he found happiness when they played the west coast of Fl and seemingly the east coast too. Of course Jani Lane's Sunset strip must have been a good place for him. R.I.P. with love and light!
Oh and FYI, for all you people giving me negative feedback, I have met Warrant, before they were very famous, in Cleveland, Oh at some dive bar they played. I drank a couple of beers with their drummer after the show. They're a great bunch of guys and one of my top 15 favorite bands.
Shaun H, you're so lucky you met Steven Sweet and got to drink a couple of beers with him!!!!! He and Jani both are/ was great vocalists and musicians!!!!!
I love both bands, just surprised because they're a different genre of music. Warrant is rock music, Priest is heavy metal. That was the case before the 90s and after the 90s. Btw, I know that hair metal is often used as a derogratory term but I don't give a shit, I love hair metal.
At 63 my hair is thick curly down to my waste and Jani lane blond. When I go to a new salon I hunt until I find someone who is experienced in giving hair band cuts. They call them wolf cuts now which is kinda cool but still like HB Cut better.
Righteous....from the best era of music....why did grunge have to end hair metal? Why couldn't it have ended rap? Think of all the needless suffering that could have ended right there.
If someone abandons one style of music just because another style of music comes along, obviously their interest was rather shallow in the first place. ANYTIME an artist achieves ANY kind of mainstream successful, whether they are Warrant, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, or Justin Bieber, a HUGE proportion of their audience are these shallow people who will dump them when the next thing comes along... and will later dump whatever that is.
Grunge exploded.because bands like warrant crue Aerosmith ect were garnering million dollar contracts. Record companies signed dozens of grunge clone bands amd paid them pennies. Some record companies flat out refused to front platinum selling bands money for a new record like driving n crying an white lion. They also pressured mtv to drop these bands and lead to mtv killing the golden goose with asinine decisions like not playing certain bands videos even though crue was the most requested band on dial mtv and warrant had one the 64 video march madness tournament. And for a few years it was a great plan..grunge killed itself, rap stars started their own labels, and millions and millions of pissed off fans tuned out of mtv and into napster and limewire. It wasnt just the fall of glam metal. Hootie and co sold 12 mil albums the year they debuted. Beyonces last album which was that years best seller sold 1.5 mil. 2017 was the first year back cataloge sales eclipsed new music in the history of music. It happened again in 2018. Record execs created ahem their own prison
Jesus, I had to watch this about 5 times because the whole Judas Priest and Warrant in the same jam seesion was hard to believe. I am like WTF, but I still love Warrant, althought i'm a bit perplexed at this video.
