One of my favorite Q.Bs to watch ever .When he was on he was unstoppable.A defensive coordinators nightmare. It would have fun to watch him play in todays game where its Q.B pass happy friendly than it was back when him . Elway and Marino played.

Warren had a lot of picks from constantly carrying the team and forcing passes into coverage. With a good Defence, and a lead, he just has to protect the ball. In Canada he passed for 5700 yards one year. In 1990 with the Oilers, in 15 games, he passed for 4700 yards and tied Dan Marino's record with nine 300-yard games in a season. We could have easily had 5000 yards and a tenth 300 yard passing day but he dislocated his thumb in the 15 game. 26 years later, this year, Drees becomes the first QB since Moon to lead the league in passing despite missing a game.
awesome that he got a chance to play in Edmonton,that Edmonton team was not only the best in the cfl at the time but in football overall,no team in the nfl would have taken them either..
Without a doubt one of the best spirals ever thrown, consistently by a quarterback. The guy never threw ducks when he had his feet set, even late in his career.
Moon was special; he had such finesse and accuracy. Of course he had off games but what QB does not? He and Steve Young were my favorite quarterbacks growing up! :D

Here's an idea we should all try.... Who the hell cares what color a player is, if he can play and has a good attitude then that's all that needs to be looked at.
@@JustNeedaBeerandPark Moon was apart of a documentary called THIRD AND A MILE done by WILLIAM C.RHODEN also he wrote a book by the same name.He talked about having to deal with DEATH THREATS IN THE ' 90s the same thing that Marlon Briscoe,James Harris,Joe Gilliam,Doug Williams had to deal with in their careers.

Now we all now it's about the system & how it's ran" Houston & the Vikings had a pretty good offense when Warren Moon was @ the Helm, but neither team had defense & we all the the NFL championship teams was balance on both side of the field. Don't get me wrong I love John Elway, Steve Yong, Roger Starbach ,Dan Marino & Doug Williams. But Warren Moon had the best Physical Body Mechanics the Total package a long with great fundamentals and accuracy. And we all know he never got a NFL CHAMPIONSHIP, but a lot of them Dan Marino as well. Plus don't forget 6 years in Canada League for being A Black QB & his long Jevity & playing on a pro bowl level. And still to this day the oldest QB to ever make the Pro Bowl. Yes I know Championship Rings counts but the game is team work & 90% of the time it's usually the team that's well balanced that wins the all
+Nicholas Denittis One of the greatest QB to ever play the game John Elway lost 3 superbowls before the team got better defense wise & a great RB Terrell Davis to help complete & balance the offense late in his Career to help him when back to back Superbowls one of the highest scoring offense & best defense @ during that time. Elway need that & it came late in his career. Warren Moon never played on a NFL team with a good defense.You can take a C- QB ability wise & put him on well balanced team offense & defense wise & take a A+ QB ability wise & put him on a not so good team offense & defense wise' who do you think is going to when that match up?
+Nicholas Denittis Troy Aikman was a C rated QB ability body mechanics wise in my opinion, but he was on a great well balanced team offense & defense wise to put 3 Superbowls rings on his fingers. Think for a minute take Troy Aikman & put him on decent team @ that time like the San Diego Chargers & put another a B rated QB in my opinion like Jeff George on Dallas Cowboys who do you think is going to when that match up? I tell you the Cowboys even if Jeff make a mistake or two they will still win the match up because a great defense can keep you in the game. Warren Moon never had that unfortunately.
Jay-Rock he just might be because if he was allowed to play in the NFL his first five years there's no telling how much better his stats would have been and they are already still up there with the others
He had the ARM strength and some of the nicest spirals i've ever seen. Interesting what Dennis Green says about Moon playing well in bunches. Every now and then you would see an ass ugly spiral from Moon which was kinda weird..
@T2ENT But you have to understand where Warren Moon came from. Remember he played in the CFL because they tried to move him to WR or TE because he was black. Even if you look at TV now Cam isn't getting the due credit. You have a QB in Denver who plays like how analyst stereotype black QBs and they hype him up to death.
@skywalker7327 but hes got three rings and what do any of the quarter backs you stated in your first comment, the best one was mcnabb and even when he was good he still sucked, as for aikman simms and etc that's different we didn't know as much as we do today and we wanna see more football, so in order to do that we have to protect quarterbacks, unless off course their gonna run when in that case i think all is fare and they should get tackled as hard as possible

@thejayis1 The MF show guy said Manning is 2, not me. Manning too was over protected by refs. Ron Jawroski once had record 113 game streak. Now at least 5 QBs since past that record. That proves NFL got soft. Manning can't take a hit either

Even when McNabb was more commited to pocket McNabb still got hit late while defensive players can't touch Brady.Brady and McNabb were NOT officiated the same!!! NFL don't like Black QBs. thegolden807 Russell Wilson's mom isn't black. She is on his draft video and definitely black. His pops was was mixed looking. I heard he has mostly black and native American ancestry. His great granddad was one of the first dean's at an all black college.
