Hey, sorry to bug you with this, but was it a simple thing to get rid of the line down the center of the screen(for the dual arcade screens), assuming you're also emulating it through MAME? 90% of the videos on YT with this game are clean, without that divide and I just cannot figure out how they did it
Yes it's part the Taito Memories II Gekan collection for PS2. You must hack your PS2 or Wii in able to play it but if not then you must get a Japanese PS2 and then buy the collection to play it as it's only released in Japan or you could just play it on MAME for PC.
The only home release to date is for for the Japanese Taito Memories II Gekan on PS2, which we do have details in description, but that is far from a perfect version as many of the dip switches are missing. We can only hope this appears on Arcade Archives at some point, otherwise it's the pirate route of arcade emulation.
No we don't think there is another ending, we think it's meant to be a moral tale and that it might be making a reference to the fact that the last jewel is friendship.
Yes, following the huge success of Golden Axe it is easy to see why Taito went in this direction, it's a very good game, but very different to the previous two games in the series.
