I'd be impressed if a team of 5 finish carpenters could nail so many different aspects on a large house in 4 months. That you did this solo is beyond impressive. Keep it up

@@davesch1512 I believe I said his work was amazing. People's desire for perfection can be discouraging, so it's helpful for people to know that what you see on RU-vid and Instagram is edited and few jobs are perfect. There are ways to avoid that kind of gapping by accounting for what the wood will do. Wood's not an exact science, and I'm sure he did try to account for the wood gaining and losing moisture.

@@NunYaaBizz just look at the 5” Nickel and if you charge $3-4, maybe more, a LF then just in that board and specific task alone could be a 40k installation if it’s about 2 miles of that type of installation. Spencer, I'm speechless!... Time has passed....while gathering my thoughts before what should be said, could be said in all sincerity. Written words do not come easily, to adequately convey the deep appreciation for your God-given talent, insight, skillset, and so much more. The single Gameroom I've been remodeling (16x22) has taken a year...and it is still not finished; you did this project, by yourself, in four months. Amazingly beautiful, and with so much detail; and with NO visible flaws or errors. The Lord has given you a similar skillset to that He gave the workers, who built the first Tabernacle in the Wilderness. You prove...attention to detail, is not lost in someone that seems to be such a young man. God Bless you and keep you creating wonders we can all learn from, appreciate, and try to achieve...even in a small way.

Have you ever talked about how you started and how to get started? I know you've done some business-side videos. What kinda of work do you not do? Do you get asked by clients for your input on jobs or do you get the "marching order" and then make it happen. Again, I know you mentioned a little, like the client's inspiration photos of the coffered ceiling. I'm thinking of getting a side gig going (I'm a firefighter). I have pretty much all the tools needed already and figure maybe I can make them make me some money. I have some built-ins I want to do in the house that I can use to begin my portfolio, maybe do crown in my upstairs as practice, and send out some feelers with my father in law for some small jobs to start. He knows a lot of people around town.

As a carpenter I always take pride in my work. And the word " good enough " is not in my vocabulary. If I am not happy with it I know the customer is not going to be happy. Because what the finished project turns out makes your reputation and my brother's and father are the same way. Because all it takes to do a bad job and your reputation is ruined. Like I said you do excellent work.
