as someone who played all the way to D3 and now helps coach after serving in the air force, I feel the same way. I played for most of my life and watching high level nfl coaches and player talk about the intricacies of the sport still blow me away.

@@Jrock420blam I always try to think of expertise in sports or a physical skill through the lense of painting. Even a very accomplished amateur will have a vast skill difference when compared to someone who is a seasoned professional. A layman would be able to look at both of them painting a subject in the same style and see who the better painter is. Sometimes when we are watching sports it is lost on us that those huge slow looking linemen aren't just battling like an old Godzilla movie they are actually incredibly agile and have an incredible amount of nuance to the physical contest they are engaged in.

Slow your roll there, the poor field conditions and the fact that Mahomes was getting rid of the ball ridiculously fast had a LOT to do with their performance. On pass attempts where Mahomes held the ball a league average amount of time the Eagles had a 60% pressure rate, which would have been a top 10 performance this year over a full game. They had a great game no doubt but had a ton of help getting there.

@@Momofatts1 That works both ways, the #2 team in sacks (Chiefs) would be at a disadvantage, also. With 4 rookies in the backfield the Chiefs were even more reliant on the pass rush getting home.

Old guy here. The play by Jerick McKinnon at the goal line was awesome situational awareness!! Turns out they practice that very same play, Churchmode. What I like about it, was the discipline to practice it and carry it out. Jerrick went down without scoring the TD and stayed in bounds to run the clock, all but assuring a Chiefs victory. Textbook game/clock management 101!!!!

​@Josh M yes it was technically an even playing field, but the Eagles were the better team in the trenches going in. It was an uneven playing field going in. The Eagles drafted and schemed and practiced and played to make it that way. What should have been an eagles' strength and a chiefs' weakness became even for both teams. The thing that made the birds dominant was literally pulled from under their feet.

Well.. the field was pretty bad and that def affected the pass rush you could see they couldn’t get any footing. That’s gotta be taken into consideration especially seeing how that was one of the best part of the eagles team( their pass rush)

Both teams scored in teh 30's and the margin of win was 3. I'd say both Olines pretty much had their way in that game. Maybe some focus should be put on how poorly each defense played?

@Lee Eagles fans and their excuses. So many eagles fans before the game were saying they were prepping to hear the chiefs fans excuses due to mahomes injury, but every single excuse in the book is coming from eagles fans. Grass, refs, etc... Eagles even changed cleats throughout the game due to the grass. Chiefs played on the same grass and handled it better. You don't hear chiefs players coming out after the game saying they would've whooped the eagles by even more if they played on a better field. It's madness.

The whole team stepped up. Its hard to say who won that game because the chiefs were a unit. You can say just as much that toneys punt return had just as big of an impact or Boltons fumble recovery, or the fact that mahomes was running around everywhere making defenders miss, or Pops run game. Best chiefs team victory I've seen since 2014. CHIEFS ARE THE SB CHAMPS! YOU LOST A BUNCH OF MONEY! DEAL WITH IT!!!!

Probably the best matched Superbowl I've seen in my life . Going back to 1969. Bothe teams are loaded with players I love. Jason Kelse had another great game as usual. The grass didn't seem to take sides but it was a problem. Goodell should not have been sitting that close to momma Kelse . He's a slimeball .

I didn't watch the game and credit to the O-line, but even from just watching the highlights, you can tell the Defensive linemen were on skates on all night. I would give more credit to the terrible field conditions.
