Can the Super NES compete musically with its older brother?
Street Fighter II is a classic fighting video game developed and published by Capcom. It was first released in 1991 as an arcade game and quickly became one of the most popular and influential titles in the fighting game genre. The game's success led to numerous home console and computer ports.

The one thing that the early console versions couldn't really pull off is playing the critical versions of the character theme songs like the arcade version does, instead speeding up the tempo when a character is nearing defeat. Sure, the beta version of the Sega Genesis release was going to have that feature, but couldn't they have kept that for the final release?

I think all the cuts is because of cart space. The SNES was 16M cart while the arcade is maybe I would say 40MB.

The snes version sounds like an updated version of the arcade version. The tracks on snes has more instruments added to them. Almost like a remix of some sort on the snes. I love Ken's theme on the SNES. Blanka's theme on snes is way better as well and it almost sounds like the theme is being played with a actual flute on snes.

No it’s the same track on the snes

@playnalisis True, but unlike the Genesis soundtrack, the Snes version was done from the ground up to take advantage of the Snes's sound chip capabilities. Whereas the Genesis version soundchip was similar to the Arcade's cps1 soundchip, hence the reason why the genesis version sounds more arcade accurate (not saying it sounds better than the snes).

Yep all those arcades used the Yamaha sound chip

You should do a music comparison of spiderman and xmen: arcades revenge for the snes and genesis

Awesome video, and I like the way the health bar transitions between each version (good idea!). Gotta say, I prefer the SNES soundtrack. What program did you use to create the graphics and edit this?
@playnalisis

Filmora 12 with windows paints. Did lots of green screening and masking

I do that to all my video lately to people can know which track is running. Thanks for the feedback. I got another video coming tomorrow. Symphony of the Night PS1 vs SNES

And for more advance editing that I need like my Fzero mode 7 logo I use DaVinci Resolve.

The arcade music sounds a little cleaner, but I still have to go with the SNES. Probably nostalgia, but still!

They are a few tracks that sound better on the super Nintendo but overall the arcade sounds way better

JAMAIS!!!!! As músicas do arcade DESTROEM as do Super Nintendo sem dó nem piedade. Nem mesmo os temas dos lutadores em dano crítico a versão do SNES tem

Não sei por que a Capcom não conseguiu tirar as músicas. Eles mudaram a maior parte disso. Imagine se Konami tivesse feito a trilha sonora para isso. Eles até venceriam o fliperama. Olhe para a música Contra 3. Ainda é uma das melhores trilhas sonoras já feitas.
