I actually plopped in the same pool on my way down from Piers Gill and Scafell on a baking hot afternoon in August 2022. Great spot to revitalise.

Great idea to go for a wild swim on a day like that! Beautiful views of the surroundings! The whole walk is so scenic, could watch this for hours. So epic to see the jets too before your dip in the pools, they look so majestic! This was great thank you so much for sharing!

We at Buttermere when we seen the jets go over and I did the same as you and only managed to catch two of them lol
