Problem with new carbon brush is that its wire is shorter than on the ones that were in a new washing machine. And I am talking about a Bosch original carbon brush. It means that you will have a lot of carbon still available but it will not work anymore because of short wire. About video: GREAT VIDEOS, I love watching them! Thank you for every video and I wish you all the best.
@paulcohen1555
@paulcohen1555 7 месяцев назад
The wire should be short enough to stop the brush before the metal end touches the commutator, but not too short to waste half of the carbon and lifetime! (Corporate manager: How can we make more money from selling motors and brushes? Genius sales manager: Let's make the motor brushes wires shorter!) 😡‼️

@@paulcohen1555 That is exactly what I saw here 😄 And I completely agree with you. At the end I had almost 3 times "leftovers" (carbon brush that cannot be used anymore) as in the first one that came with a washing machine.

@@How-to-repair Thanks for your work. Yes, manufacturers building in obsolescence to appliances is a big prblem, They are just greedy, want more and more, depleting the planet's resources and causing degradation of our environment. I think they call it progress

What is the typical motor current in actual operation in a machine on washing and highest spinning speed? (If you already measured or can measure it)
@How-to-repair
@How-to-repair 7 месяцев назад
If you watch the video on my amperage metres, then you would be able to measure the amount of wattage or amperage being drawn at any point. Typically a normal washing machine pulls between 200 to 400 W I have not made a video on washing machines yet, but here is the one on tumble dryers and it shows you what the tumble dryer motor is pulling. These only cost £10-£15 and I have an essential tool ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NjEa_KZGWaQ.htmlsi=BSLVCzbBcxoxkiR5

Hi, going off subject for a second please, is it possible to replace a 240v fridge/freezer compressor set up with a 12v compressor set up..?I live on a boat and have to run my under counter fridge freezer via an inverter which drags my battery bank down every day and costs money in diesel to charge batteries up again, I cannot afford a new 12v fridge freezer as they can run up to £600! I’ve seen brand new compressors on the internet at reasonable prices but I’m not sure I have the skills to tap into the fridge gas side of things..any help would be appreciated 👍🏻

How we test an inverter motor for LG washing machine?
@tadythefish
@tadythefish 6 месяцев назад
Without the controller very difficult. You could use a hobby RC BLDC motor driver, but you wont get near the rated speed or power

A while ago on RU-vid, you ask me a question about your LG washer. I just thought I’d let you know that I have now made a complete playlist to assist you in any repairs that you ever have. If it helps, you don’t forget to share it with your friends who may also own an LG. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w5dZ4Pj8Jdo.html

Why aren't you mechanically fixing the motor to the bench? It will be safer for you!
@How-to-repair
@How-to-repair 7 месяцев назад
Because I have a voltage controller, the motor does not start fast. If I did not have this. Yes I would be bolting it down to the bench. But thanks for noticing if anyone else is trying this i would recommend it, but I have been doing it for years.
