Washing Machine Won't Spin 

Unplug the washer for a minute than plug it back up. Open and close lid 6 time in 12 seconds and it reset the motor. I just learned that today and it worked

Hello Julie! Thank you so much for posting this video with the sound your machine was making. I fixed my dryer and 3 days later my washer went down. I'm clueless about washers so I came to RU-vid and found your video. I was overjoyed to hear your machine making the exact noise mine was!! I ordered the two parts online and installed them today. I own a new Amana washer exactly like this one and it's a piece of junk. Noisy and when it spins ,it sounds like the world is coming to an end. It jumps all over the place , turns directions and sounds like it is going to explode. Nothing works to remedy problem , not even screwing it to the floor with 10 screws. Still sounds like world coming to an end and vibrates 1700 sq. ft. of house. Thought jet plane was crashing into house the first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ernest E. Johnson

You need a new actuator or a new belt

If you did the reset method and when you press the start and it’s stuck on sensing fill and making noises then try balancing the washer. Just make sure they are leveled

When i first got mine i had the same problem so annoying. BUT guess what i called for the tech he came and the motor was disconnected please make sure that at the bottom of the washer you connect the motor hooe this works

I’m having a similar problem. My washer spins in self diagnostic mode, but not in a cycle or drain/spin and the final spin light flashes. Is it the control board, capacitor and/or shifter assembly

It’s the actuator it’s like the transmission

Only had mine for one week and it's already leaking from the bottom & I can't get it to spin the clothes dry it will complete a cycle but they are still soaking wet 😬

same washer same problem, I attempted to bypass the lid lock switch thing to see if that was the culprit(which seems to be the most common problem) but was an idiot and think I fried the control board. Still never came up with what the actual problem was.

Mine was doing the exact same thing as yours, wouldn't spin an every 40 seconds made the same mechanical noise..lucky for us we had a family member check it out.. and all that was wrong with it, was it was unbalanced.. due to it not being completely leveled to the floor ..

Hold the button for 9 seconds long instead of 3 seconds
