Always was taught to put the better tires with more tread on the inside of the duals. Putting the taller tires on the outside puts excessive stress on the axles.

The fertilizer is water soluble, it will suck water out of the air if the humidity is high enough (which is why it can clump up), also because the Bins are metal humidity from the air will condense on the surface of the bin (both on the inside and outside). Because of all the rain you have had your area will have been experiencing high humidity for a longer period of time than your climate normally has, so the perfect condition for the inside of the bins to get nasty.

Next time you seed alfalfa get a bag of the earliest variety that's available and then mix it with what you usually use. You'll have a few early plants scattered through the stand. As soon as you see the first flower, chop a week to 10 days later. The early flower seems to push a person into the mood to start chopping.

Alfalfa is majestic

The bins won’t dry if you applied high N fertilizer, I worked at a fertilizer retailer and I mixed the right fertilizer for corn, soybeans. High N like Urea it just doesn’t dry!
