In this video we move camp to the Capitol State Forest in Washington. I find a nice campsite next to Porter Creek. We enjoy a rainy first day and it clears up the next day so we can get out for a walk around. Very peaceful and serene here. Hobbes seems to really enjoy the outdoors! I grill up a nice steak and egg breakfast to kick off the day.

I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. I haven’t camped in WA for a few years. This makes me want to go back. Beautiful scenery and river. Happy Hobbs! 🥰Yesterday was my 4 year Gotcha Day anniversary with Bandit. It’s hard to believe he is the same dog that used to attack me the entire 1st year we were together. As you know, he’s a rescue from a fighting dog ranch. I’m so proud of the progress he’s made. They give us so much. I know you love Hobbs too. Happy for you, Brian!

Hobbs is awesome! We have a rescue as well and found that using a harness gave him more comfort while we walk and explore.

Brian I can honestly say without reading any of the comments at this point that watching you “wear out “ Hobbs by walking and exploring reminded me of when my kids were little. My wonderful wife and I would always try and wear em out via pools trampolines hiking etc. you’re a great adopted Doggie Dad for Hobbs.

Our rescue Basset Hound was aggressive when we first got him but we worked with a trainer and over the years he has become a sweetheart. Thanks for being such responsible dog owners.

Thank you for being a responsible pet owner. I’ve almost given up on camping in some spots because people refuse to keep their dog on a leash. My dog has been attacked 3 times by “friendly” off lead dogs. Hope you get some sun and spectacular autumn weather soon! That’s a lovely campsite!

I have a dog (12-year-old Labradoodle) at home now (san diego) with me who was violently aggressive with other dogs where she used to live, and barked loudly and furiously at anyone she did not know. I stayed with them for eleven months (after suffering heat stroke when I went out camping) and for whatever reason she became quite attached to me, and when I found a home for myself she came to live with me. After a year with me she has gotten to the point where she sniffs my visiting friends' hands and does not bark or growl any more. Hobbs looks like he is fond of you and I hope his biting behavior will change. But like you I still use a leash whenever we go out. Good to see you Brian. Keep on being excellent.

I just left Washington. It rained all week long. Kept driving east and the rain 🌧️ followed me. My solar needs sun as soon as I got to Yakima , Washington the batteries recharged. Beautiful state! Will return in the spring!
