Same here. My grandfather used to tell me stories about the old Senators teams, and it was like living that nostalgia through his eyes. I felt his spirit in my living room when we finally won it all in 2019.
I’m a die hard nats fan and Zimmerman has came so far he was with the team in 05 when they started and I have adored him since I was 4 I’m 11 right now and I love seeing Zimmerman succeed he’s my man
My son was 12 when they won and he has been a die hard Nats fan since he first started to play Little league. In his elementary school he was known as #1 NATS fan through thick and thin. I felt so happy for him and all the NATS fans when they won, a magical season !!!
The Nats are year by year making themselves closer to the city like no team I’ve ever seen. Every game felt personal. I’ve never felt that way watching sports. I remember when Frank Robinson would make sure they came to schools in places famous people would never visit and how they gave dc an excuse to lack rfk again even though we sucked. I remember all the rough days where we rooted for them anyways. Then I remember all the struggle to prove ourselves in the playoffs. When we FINALLY won an elimination game bs the brewers, we all knew but refused to believe it because we just HAD to mess it up somehow right? The moment never came. We were hurt last year and started this year rough but now we’re 8-4 the last 12 games and it’s starting t hit me again that this team was no fluke.
DAMN this gave me chills. I've been an Indians fan my whole life and this is what I wanted to happen more than anything in 2016. I'm so happy for WSH as a team and all their fans. Congrats guys, what an astounding performance.
What a histoic year! Never ever underestimate the underdog to all those that do i give you my beloved world champion washington nationals! Hollywood loves underdogs im just waiting for the movie now. In the meantime lets do it again nats!
I am not a nats fan but I am a fan of baseball... I must say to see a team come back in a frantic 2nd half to win the wild card beat the Dodgers rightfully pumble the cards and then win the world series. Like seriously if you don't respect that '19 team ...they where dullnof comebacks.
alexchavez27 I was at the wildcard game and I can’t tell you how loud it was when Soto got the hit and then when it rolled under Grisham’s glove. The whole stadium knew the bases were about to clear and we would take the lead. Most hype game I’ve ever been to
@@christopherhitt8027 what I was referring to was if the Nats didn't score in the 8th, they were very unlikely to do so in the 9th since the momentum they got would've gone away. Hader had Rendon on a full count before Soto was up and had a chance to put him away
