Wasps have had a bad press but they have not done themselves any favours. Ruiners of picnics, stealers of children's ice cream, drinkers of dads beer. Would we gardeners be better off without them? Watch this short video to find out.
Ken, that's both interesting and helpful: many wasps make their curious nests in different places. Once through a keyhole in an outdoor storage box. Several times in small holes around the guttering. This year one outside a kitchen window. Now there's a large hole in the nest and many dead wasps litter the windowsill and only a few around. I'm still wary.
@@kenblackclematis8272 They find me, sitting quietly, nowhere interrupting their lives, and attack. No meals outside, here; a quick butty is daft. I do have trousers and hoody made of dense mesh, insect proof but not elegant attire for the evening.
