Typica 40k watt waste oil burners use about 4 liters of waste per hour
I have biult units that use up to 2 gallons per hour or about 145,000 watts
I use oil burners for many things mostly for burning tree stumps out of
the ground, waste oil burners work great for forges or smelting metal.
Ive biult many types of waste oil burners from syphon nozzel waste oil
burners to drip feed to vaporizer coil waste oil burners . these also
can be used to biuld a furnace and heat very large areas .
the most efficiant waste oil burner i have biult is a siphon nozzle
atomizer and it uses about 4 liters of waste oil per hour .
do not burn transmission oil it is toxic . DISCLAIMER: In this video description contains affiliate links, which means

Hole in torch is pressure regulator reference port. Diaphram or piston in regulator is leaking.

try hooking a vacuum up for a blower and use a light dimmer too very air input you may want to use stainless steal .

Have a look at the construction of a high bypass or turbo fan engine . Air bypasses the power section at high velocity so for all intents and purposes you need a tube of sorts around the OUTSIDE of the flame tube . When it's running the mouth of the outside tube has an area of low pressure but increased velocity subsequently increasing the flame velocity . Also long story short research augmenter tubes on Pratt and Whitney wasp R2000 engines for the dehavilland caribou aircraft . The effect these tubes have on performance mirrors more than likely what you're after
@NOBOX7

Thanks for your input , yes increase in velocity is a hotter flame so i agree with your comment , soon ill be able to build more complex designs

hmm im thinking it needs a miniature turbo charger sort of thing, like a fan in front of the exhaust that turns a blower to force more air into the combustion chamber

You are exactly correct. You built a pulse jet engine. Similar to the “BUZZ” bombs of WWII. Increase length lower frequency and decrease length increase frequency. Some had chambers. Some were bent in a U shape. Some had chambers and U shapes. Look up pulse jet. Also see Ram jet for other ideas.

My torch just did the same thing. Burnsmatic said it from keeping the propane bottle attached all the time. Its recommended to not leave the gas hooked to the torch when not in use.

you need a "fire bowl", place it inside the pipe. and it will catch some flame. and create an area of compression and expansion in the tube. the salamander heater has a huge one on the very front for that exact reason

You completed the burn chamber with the piece of metal. I think the frequency of harmonic resonance of the tube will depend mainly on the length of the tube. The frequency will also depend to a small degree on the density of the tube.

Maybe too much air and reduce draw. Would also depend on size of holes vs injection p.o.e.

when you add the pipes inside the flame tube they get hot and help burn the fuel better because they are atomizing the fuel from the heat they give off hence the hotter copper tube atomizing better because of it fast heating properties, better atomazation better burn. When burning oils each oil has a tempreture it likes to ignight at veg especially needs to be much hotter to atomize and igninight.

Just found your channel and subscribed *NOBOX7* I am very interested in all vaporization technologies. Have you seen or looked into Hot Bulb engines? I am particularly interested in the Blackstone Oil Engine (vaporization engine). I think if it were modernized and improved it could change the world. Oil from plastic, sewer sludge, used motor and cooking oil ect could be turned directly into electricity. Very nice and simple pulse jet style burner with no valves! That is amazing, very nice work! Oil has similar BTU's (thermal energy) as gasoline, most are unaware of that

depends on whether or not you own an air compressor , power wise no it is not much more expensive than blower systems

Would a continuous duty blower produce enough oxygen and pressure? as compared to an air compressor? You would not get the vacuum effect for oil delivery.

Yeah were my thoughts, kinda similar how a catalytic converter works. Also could try using some exhaust lagging around the pipe to slow down heat loss, which will most likely transfer it towards the burner bowl a bit more as well.

Thank you. I have studied and built a few small furnaces over time and had pretty decent success, energy research is my hobby and metal working is something I have done most of my life [black smithing, casting, welding, machining, heat treating, etc] Adding crushed ceramic particles from an old catalytic converter to the sides of the tube would increase combustion efficiency to the point it might be too hot but it would be worth a try, just crush some up and mix it with some refractory cement and smear it on the inside of the tube near the exhaust [say the last 6 to 8 inches] and see if it increases the combustion efficiency once it gets hot and going. The layer need not be very thick but the more the bits of ceramic can poke out of the refractory cement and interact with the combustion projects, the greater chance of catalytic improvement in combustion efficiency. Refractory cements can be made out of stuff like water glass and silicates of the likes, or can be bought, even 'stove pipe cement' or such, and we know old converters can be obtained from junk yards and old cars.

I figured out why the elbow burner works , its inducing a rolling eddy current that acts as a flame holder . Its a combustion re circulation zone . i discovered this during editing and began to analyse the footage and notice a rolling wall of fire . i looked up combustion re circulation and sure enough its a well known practice to induce re circulation with geometry or air streams to provide constant ignition and flame stability . Im posting a video and i intend to use your advice on tapering the exhaust downstream , should be interesting . the tapering actually is used to increase recirculation on some other deigns i seen .

The option of twisting [swirl flame] is incorporated into a few engine designs, I plan on using it in my future burn cans as I have had tremendous success with it. Granted, I used compressed air to begin with because I wanted to achieve over 4600 degrees [against ceramic block] to melt high chromium alloy steel. Unfortunately for me, I did not have enough personal property and while doing this inside of an apartment building, I was at risk of setting the whole structure on fire, so I have had to wait. Right now I am slowly accumulating all of the waste oil from my farm so I have enough to experiment with. I am using leftover compressor motors from vacuum cleaners for high static pressure inlet. Almost used oil pump from an old car engine can be driven fast enough to develop 2500 PSI without twisting off the shaft, a lot of old Chevy engines have them, so I figure I will get one and place it at the bottom of a tank [5 gallon bucket on short term] with a simple draw screen [150 mesh, stainless, got it from a salvaged hydraulic drill sharpening machine years ago] then for an injector nozzle I will ask around to some diesel engine rebuilders for some used discarded injector nozzles from their scrap iron pile. I have a 24v hydraulic pump if I want to add a 5 micron filtration system which will produce up to 8000 psi. The cost then is elevated a lot of course because of specialized hoses and fixtures for higher pressure fluid system. The potential heats though, can be as high as 6000F with 32lb boost. I know that goes away totally from your project goals of simple, minimalist oil burning that anybody can do, and I fully respect that, because not everybody even has need for melting high temperature metals.
