Might as well have been written about the press being so helpful to Donald Trump, despite his abject hatred for them as an institution. He encouraged his cultists to attack them, and even tried to ban members of the press from the White House, with his fans manipulating video to make it look like a reporter karate chopped an aide. He even supported cops shooting journalists during the George Floyd protests where his minions went around attack and black bagging veterans and moms who were out there marching for Civil Rights.

The change from levity to seriousness was seamless, the way he moved from laughing and poking fun at himself and the press into congratulating them, reassuring them, and adding a call to action was an example of exactly how public speaking should be. Was it Scripted? Absolutely. But compare it to any Trump Campaign speech. Jarring transitions, random tangents, odd noises (and no speech impediment to explain it). How can anyone watch the two making public speeches and think that the rest of the world is laughing at the calm, controlled, erudite guy?
