I saw an interview with Celine. She did not think she could sing their level. She did, beautifully.

Celine sang this at the 2017 Salute to the Bee Gees at the Grammys. She came down the stairs to the front row at the end to sing to Barry and it was truly special. She said she was singing it in memory of Robin, Morris, Andy, her brother Daniel and husband Rene.

The Beegees once said in an interview that when you hear an artist sing a song that you wrote for them with such passion it's very emotional and they could not hold back the tears in the making of this video. Thanks for your reactions.

Watching this performance live in Las Vegas was awesome!! You should see that one! The Bee Gees commented on more than one occasion that this is their favorite song that they ever wrote for someone other than themselves. Seeing the tears in Barry’s eyes at the end says it all!

When I hear this I alway think of Maurice, Robin and also Andy. They didn't have to say goodbye because we have their music that will live on. And they will have immortality through their music. It brings tears to my eyes always. I really don't think of Celine when I hear it. Even though she sings it beautifully . I always think of the brothers. Barry will always be remembered too. I am so glad he is still with us doing what he does best. Making music.

The song grows on you the more you hear it. The message is about being immortal through legacy. A wonderful gift. The music video is great too!

I find that people either love her or can't stand her. Not many in between. I'm in the "love her" camp. And I'm good with anything that touches the Bee Gees universe right now. This song was very special to them. Lovely. I'm grabbing my tissues along with the brothers.

They sing this live with Celine in their Las Vegas "One Night Only" concert as well. Watching this video, you see the love for their music. Plus, as amazing and successful the Bee Gees were, they were still so very humble. They were never arrogant and full of themselves. That they were "back up singers" to Celine's lead singing in this song attests to this fact. I hope their time of "practice" in the studio was recorded. Would love to have been in there to witness it all.

This was the rehearsal for the One Night Only show in Las Vegas where she sang this. It looks like all the guys are needing Kleenex while she is singing. There is a video where Celine sings this song to Barry and the Gibb family at a tribute for Robin and Maurice. It is so touching, and they are both crying by the time she finishes it, coming off the stage and kneeling in front of him.

What a beautiful & emotional recording for them, prob more so for Barry & Mo, who wrote this in 3.5 minutes. Barry said, "I knew what this girl could do with this…..but she really blew our minds in the end". This got the tears flowing again. It hit me harder than usual as I lost my dad back in January, and Celine has such an amazingly pure voice and when you match that with a touching song as this...well... sniff.

They are all truly professionals and singers/composers since they were children. Celine was born in Charlemagne Canada, a Quebecois, the youngest of 14 and first sang at a wedding when she was five. She composed her first song with her brother Jacques at 12, "Ce n'etait qu'un reve", "Nothing but a dream" and sings in several languages. Her voice is powerful but full of emotion. She has the same vocal control and soulful expression as Robin, Barry and Maurice and it's NATURAL. You said there is something but you don't know what to call it. The Francophones have the perfect phrase, "Je ne sais quoi" which means exactly that, something intangible but it's there. The Bee Gees and Celine are a perfect marriage (4 in a marriage???) because they all came from poverty, big families, started in the "biz" as children and worked hard to succeed and endure. They surely had a natural synergy. PS - She also has a wicked sense of humor so she should fit right in.

I don´t know why but any piece from Bee Gees can´t be just heard or even listened by me. Their music simply runs through my body and mind and lift me on, growing day after day. I thank God for having been as a visitor at Thames. London (house of Robert Stigwood) , Miami, Brisbane, Sydney, etc. folllowing their steps. (not easy to do when one lives in Buenos Aires....)

I couldn't help but notice both Barry and Maurice with a tissue in their hands and wiping their eyes. It had to be an amazing sensation for them, as songwriters, to hear a voice as glorious as Me. Dion's giving life to one of their songs. I've heard them say, more than once, that they saw this as one of the best songs they had written.

Late to this reaction probably because I didn't find you until lately. My friend said that Celine Dionne could sing up to the angels. Sound familiar? This is off her Let's Talk About Love album. I have it and it's beautiful. Give it a listen some time. Barry said there wasn't a dry eye in the studio when they cut this and they had to keep passing the tissues around the room.

I would guess that is a rush for them to have song that they conceived and hear it coming to life as they envisioned it. I believe I read they had her voice in mind when they wrote it.

The live performance is well worth checking out, as well.

However... the ultimate version for exceptional sound (especially hearing the amazing Bee Gees in the background) was the LIVE version (11-14-1997) "One Night Only" Bee Gees - Celine was their guest. Her voice sounded pure - like an instrument. The performance was flawless. I had the privilege of being there, among fans in that huge audience - no one wanted to miss hearing a single note. They did a beautiful job together, the live performance from 1997 in Las Vegas is worth a look. They were so proud of her performance, they were known to have said as songwriters the joy they got from their songs being performed was as as exciting as their own performances

I think you watched the wrong video my man, this is the "unofficial music video" for the song, the making/recording of the song part is on the beginning of this unofficial music video, they obviously cut of the first half of the video. I have watched the entire recording session of "Let's Talk About Love" and I know for sure that there are footages of the recording and backstory of this song. And better yet, maybe you should react to her entire recording session for her "Let's Talk About Love" album, and fair warning, you're definitely gonna be blown away by her vocal when she was in studio recording "The Reason" 🔥

I'm not a fan of Celine Dion. This song is beautiful and Barry had a way of writing these beautiful songs for other artists to bring out the best in their voices. I don't dislike Celine .I just never got into her singing. She did the brothers proud and they had fun and they also were overcome with emotion. Great video.
