This really puts the successful run in context: even with all that death and frustration behind him, decino managed to nail all his narration and beat the optional room on his first recorded attempt.

A lot of these deaths have some fun reactions (the one at 9:40 is just pure fricking gold) ...but that one at 20:04 was really scary. I don't think i've ever heard decino THAT angry in any of his other outtakes. He's truly someone who deserves a lot more recognition because of the tremendous dedication he puts into these brutal Doom maps and all the pain he has to endure before he finally beats them! Absolute respects to you, decino! I love your videos and keep up the good work!
decino: damn, this was the hardest map that i all ready played before Map 30: i'm about to end this man hole carrer Want to hear the sweet voice of decino saying "we are done with this map". That's because it was something i couldn't say... wish you luck my friend, go and beat that damn level!
Don't underestimate map 29! The creators even stated it's the hardest map in the wad. It's micromanaging galore with little to no luck involved and little to no breathing room.
I can't even imagine the tension in the secret arena on the successful attempt. Fortunately you can control the difficulty a little by taking it slow, but a stray Cyber rocket can end your whole existence at any moment.
Nightmare already has fast monsters and respawning enemies. Normal ultra violence does not have fast monsters so decino has to add the parameter for that but not nightmare.
This is like watching decino being stuck in a horror version of inception, reliving the same nightmare over and over again and dying for various reasons, it's painful to see... Nonetheless I still enjoyed watching it, cant wait for the 1000 deads video of map 30, wishing you all the luck for that map

It's very satisfying to see that almost every fight in this map is deadly. Usually it ends up being filler and then 1 or 2 fights that are deadly. But it seems like this map is well balanced. Well played decino!

Can we get an f or an apology for decino? he literally spends hours failing, and when he finishes the level, it gets a few thousand views. TL;DR: decino is underrated Also, decino, if you're failing too much and getting angry, take a break. You don't have to do it. You can do it if you want. Just some advice.
He is an absolutely wonderful yet wrongfully underrated... LPer(?). But I'm actually glad about his slow growth; nothing explosive, but it's getting there, and he still has the time and desire to interact with the bois! I couldn't ask for a better YTer :)

when your playing Sunlust pistol starting, no saving, and playing on UV its beyond human to expect to not get your ass kicked in from time to time. the fact theres 5.5 hours of footage making attempts never giving up in two days is what impresses the heck out of me. i would have frustrated myself long before that, but heck i have trouble with regular starting most levels with saves on UV Sunlust
@@icy3-1 kinda same to me. I have played doom for quite some time but never went beyond UV. Nightmare isn't just a higher difficulty, it changes the way you play the game waaay to much than other "harder" modes.
For me, UV with fast monsters is the endgame. I don't play Nightmare because the respawning monsters is bullshit and it gives you extra ammo on pickups. Sadly, some maps are really not compatible with fast monsters (this one is a prime example).
Well, *technically*, UV is the highest difficulty because the game only has 3 true difficulty levels, and UV and Nightmare are hard difficulty. So it's not wrong to say it is the hardest difficulty.

As much as I love to sip on the decino tears, man, I was getting frustrated right along with you by the end. Love this video. It adds so much to the actual clear video. If you’re too lazy to watch this: R N G. Just too many deaths by RNG Btw after first 15 attempts there’s pretty much no new death places - just repeatedly dying at same places, with existential crisis and depression
And just imagine... Decino was just 1% Health off of having to do god knows how many more attempts :O I really respect the grind my man, I'm playing through BTSX e1 currently (just regular UV) I cant even imagine doing it on UV+, playing through it has made me realise just how much work must go into your videos. Absolutely adore your content, and I hope this level didn't wear you down too much ;)
