Feminist Vegan I mean I don't have a PS4 or a powerful PC so I can't even run it. And to be honest, I don't care. You are right. The optimization is fucking trash. The story is even more trash. The hacking is shit. Honestly the only thing good about Watch Dogs 2 is the animations. For example the cool frontflips and the different types of dashes. But even that is not improved by much.
watch dogs 1 was refreshing, watchdogs 2 was a disaster in every way, obviously money was the sole objective, watchdog 2 could of been a real success if they kept to the spirit of the first one
SwissWristWatch the reason for the camera height in watch dogs 2 is to showcase the freerunning. have the camera so close wouldnt work because you wouldnt be able to notice the effort put into the animations
Watch dogs 1 had a much better gangster and crime fighting vibe, and the way more content makes it superior in my opinion. Watch dogs 2 focused to much on mechanics and graphics which I don't think should be primary focus. Watch dogs 2 also has the much more happy vibe which makes it feel like an arcade game with a not very serious story line.
Watch Dogs 1 had such a darker, unique tone and vibe to it that I fell in love with. The story was compelling and got me invested right off the bat. Watch Dogs 2 was much more light hearted and vibrant which at first was nice but before long I found myself bored, kinda indifferent, just couldn't get into it like I could playing as Aiden in the first one. To me he's a more interesting character with more interesting motives.
Aiden is just "my niece is dead, so now I'm going to kill people because muh revenge" He's not interesting or complex. He is the most generic, one-dimensional character in the game
@@akuisbestgirl2448 i still like the first game way better though, the second and third games are fun, but I like the story in the first one. I understand what you mean by it's "plain and boring." But I feel like that's what makes it so good. It's a generic story that serves it's purpose well, a solid character who lives in a cold world, full of crime. The characters were more memorable imo as well.
@@stoverh Making a character plain and boring is not a good thing. Most of the time, writers should aim to make their characters unique and interesting, and Aiden isn't that. The characters were forgettable too, I can barely remember any of them. But that's mainly subjective, so you can believe what you want to believe
@@akuisbestgirl2448 people like you ruin content for others in general. What makes Aiden interesting is not the tragedy but his struggles and the ways he deals with it. He always narrates what he's really thinking which adds some depth and he's paranoid about everything around him, like a man in real life would be if he lost his niece. WD1 gets you to really ask whether Aiden should continue going after Lena's killers or just let it go and let her killers roam free. Both seem like terrible ideas, meaning the best possible thing that could have happened and prevented all this mess is Aiden being killed not his niece. That's why he lives life like a creepy ghost too. Marcus could be anyone else and you wouldn't notice the difference.
When I think more about WD1, I think what draws me most towards Aiden Pearce's character is the fact that he's primarily alone. Marcus works with his friends in Dedsec, though I feel that the story quickly tried to introduce all of the characters to get us to spread our feelings towards them, which can make it ineffective. It's like having to get to know a group of 10 people and you're an introvert but you'd rather have some one on one time with them to slowly build up a relationship rather than be forced to be friendly with them all at once. With Aiden, you get a natural progressiom with all of the characters and this is what makes Clara's death so memorable. In another way, the fact that you're fairly alone with Aiden makes you feel more like you really are working with him, like you're his partner. You help him achieve his ends and he monologues to you, to help share his thoughts and you really get to know what he feels at certain times. I don't really get that vibe from Marcus and the whole forced team aspect of it, with lots of the Dedsec team calls being with several people at once feels forced. Also, hey. You kind of get the feeling that you can do whatever you want in the city, that you're not tied down to just one group. Aiden might think, "I'll have a chill few hours. Maybe I'll play some chess with the old timers in the park." You and Aiden get to freely roam around the city, doing whatever you want. Digital Trips too. It feels personal being with him so much. Last thing. Aiden knows his old memes. He likes to poke a little fun with the silly billboards he hacks. I don't see why people say Aiden has no personality. He does, you just have to spend some time and connect with him to see that. You kind of get your own Aiden in the way you play. Do you two always head to the park and play chess? Does that make him a bit of a calmer guy in your eyes? Or do you two blow off steam by engaging with criminal gangs or having races? Who knows! And this is all surprisingly coming from someone who could only watch a walkthrough.
Aiden is a criminal with hacking skills, Marcus is a hacker with criminal skills. Personally I like them both because they each fit the story of their game.
@Katie M I feel the same way and I really liked the story and Charakters from WatchDogs. I do recommend to play the game for yourself if you have the chance it’s much more intensive!
They should’ve took watch dogs and stayed with that theme. The whole vigilante thing was pretty cool. Everyone hated it because they massively tricked people into thinking the graphics were next generation. But I liked the idea of having your character being blamed for murders on tv when you walk into a store you’ll have to be careful. Or you could be praised for taking down bad guys.
@@orvillepareja9393 uhh no dude not just only the rc car and drone, but it is also use to see the camera perspective, controlling forklift, mobile platform, crane, window cleaners platform,
Watch Dogs 2 had a more lively open world and there were more hacks in the game too, the character movement is better and driving feels less awkward, however the story was just... Ok. But I was honestly pissed off with how the game ended, it felt so underwelming and rushed where as watch dogs 1, had a much better story with more conspiracy and drama, the final mission is epic too where the whole city get's hacked and you have to avoid all these explosions and stuff as well as a epic pay off that made the game feel worthwhile. If watch dogs 2 had the story of watch dogs 1 then we would have a great watch dogs game imo.
i think wd2 is all about style and entertainment, it’s bright, a bit futuristic, colorful graffiti, while wd1 is more about doing what you can with what you can, it’s more about the story and aiden himself, it’s darker, looks like it’s of current year, a more bland art style(which isn’t a bad thing) and is just all around in a darker tone
Zero jgardians Don't get me wrong, I love the shit out of this game. But if we're talking about sales, I just don't see Watch Dogs 2 coming close to GTA V. GTA is just too big a title to compete with, and it will always be that unless Rockstar does something to completely screw up their game
I don't see the cinematic appeal in WD2 than WD1, I felt like the first was a movie and the second is more of a sandbox with no goal. I do believe that WD2 is the better game however.
Watch dogs 3 IMO should have: *Atmosphere and story like WD 1 *Driving, a middle ground between the weighted more realistic WD 1 and arcade/nimble physics of WD 2's driving. *Beautiful visuals *Real radio stations for immersion *Less collecting and more meaningful, narrative-driven side missions. *Safe houses you can purchase and customize. *Keep the great customization found in WD2
I REALLY REALLY dont like the camera distance from Marcus compared to wd1. I hate how Marcus is this tiny blip on screen compared to how the camera was much closer to Aiden in part 1. The feeling of the game was much more dynamic in 1 compared to 2. Also the graphics are not as good. There is substantial aliasing around the model of Marcus that was non existent in part 1 and a lot of the night time lighting is flatter and the rain is terrible in 2. The rain was beautiful and pooled in 1. In 2 it just rains into nothingness. There are some excellent evolutions to hacking but big downgrades in graphics and effects.
TeamUSA the camera is far from marcus in order to showcase the new freerunning mechanics, if the camera were close to marcus you wouldnt be able to appreciate the hard work put into the animations
The walking/running animations from the first game will always sell it more to me than the 2nd. Also, the atmosphere in the 1st have something better than the 2nd. Can't say what tho.
Just a question. Can we get a suppressed sniper rifle in WD2? Cause all the sniper rifle that you can buy (Dedsec or Military) doesn't have this suppressed installed on it and obviously produce a very loud sound.
I just bought both games, I'm still busy with WD1 and enjoying it so far. I have heard that WD2 gameplay is a lot better but I have to see it for myself when I start playing WD2
Really enjoyed both games for their own reasons. WD1 had great gunplay and combat, especially for an open world gta-esque game. This is subjective, but I thought the atmosphere in WD1 was better and Aiden was a badass and killing felt less weird and out of place than when killing as Marcus. I kinda prefer Aiden over Marcus, even though Marcus was a great main character too. Also I really liked how the camera angle of WD1 was up close and personal and honestly disliked the zoomed out camera of WD2. Anyway, WD2 had crazy hacking abilities which made the gameplay unique and original (which WD1 lacked severely) and also the first AAA game with actual free running and not just parkour (like WD1).
Graphics:1 Mechanics:N/A Rain:1 Cars:2 (Get it) Story:1 Everything else 1 At first i didnt like watch dogs 1 cause it got downgraded bit now, i dont give a shit Watch dogs 1 the best ( not the best game ive played (uncharted 4 is though))
Wd2 didn't have a snappy story... the character had potential, but the story elements were rushed. It should have taken more development time to have a story that keeps you immersed. graphically wd2 was superior however
My only flaw with Watch Dogs 2 is that the main story isn't that interesting. But oh boy is it a fun game! Still having a blast just roaming around San Francisco and doing hacking activities! 😊
i like watch dogs 2 for the sand box, the story is lacking but what i like is the option to go non lethal for the whole story & game. really focuses more on hacking & puzzles while Watch dogs 1 story is amazing, it simply feels like gta but with hacking
I feel that wd1 has a more serious gameplay. You can absorb yourself into his character and its exiting. Wd2 on the other hand is a more playfull, do-whatever-you-want game. Ofcourse wd2 is the better game, like any other sequel should be..but to me wd1 was far more interesting.
Watchdogs 2 is definitely the better game. More deep gameplay and also more varied. But I can’t help to prefer WD 1 more gritty approach. It feels like you are playing a John Wick/Miami Vice movie style of character and story. I also feel Aiden’s movement feels more grounded and real although in WD2 the parkour is well implemented and fun to watch. Also the shootouts feel much more tactical and “realistic” in WD1. Managing distance and precise shooting feels great when mastered. It really makes you feel a bit like John Wick.
all you guys are just fans of watch dogs i had the same feeling at first i thought 1 is better than 2 but when i myself played the 2nd one it was lot better and i forgot watch dogs 2 does have a goal of taking down dusan how can you predict there is no goal without playing the game
i don't care what you say watch dogs 1 has always been my favorite it's definitely on my top 5 of favorite games i mean the characters the missions the story it's soooo good
Come on you gotta agree that Dusan wasn't even evil as Lucky Quinn. Think bout it, Quinn ordered an attack on most of Aidens family and killed a little girl, and Dusan was just a drunk fool who did jackshit
Jesse Parmar lucky Quinn was a generic douche. Dusan uses his intelligence to fight dedsec. He shows he doesn't need muscle to get rid of anyone instead just needs to make dedsec look bad and humiliate them and Blume to be good and desirable. He crushes his enemies spirits and make them back off with mere words. That's realistic and fresh. He used the ignorance of society to get his ways.
I loved Watch Dogs 1. I enjoyed the tone of it. Aiden was on a vengeance quest and became the vigilante, a man who dealt with crime swiftly and efficiently. I'm not saying it was a masterpiece, but I enjoy it more over watchdogs 2.
Watch Dogs 1 was like the Matrix meets John Wick or something, Aiden Pearce is this badass character who's shrouded in mystery from the outside but cold and calculated, willing to give justice, feel like the story was all there and made it a stronger game than Watch Dogs 2, where you basically play as a semi-hipster computer nerd
Watch Dogs 1 is a watered-down version 2 into 2 you have better hacking better gameplay better personalities to the characters. Aiden does not have a bright personality or a likeable personality there are times when he just blank because you can't come up with something creative to say. In Watch Dogs 2 you have a better soundtrack a playlist of music even hit songs that was brought up in the game for certain missions. Better visuals better lighting better driving the combat fits the vibe of the game Watch Dogs 1 the tonr fits the Vibe of the game for what they're looking for. The story fits both games tailored to the characters. Aiden being a vigilante looking for a murderer who killed his niece while trying to stay underneath the radar and clean up the mess that Damien put him through. Marcus who is part of dedsec who is trying to stop the corruption of Blum and their leader Dushawn from corrupting the city and blinding the people with their lies and bring the truth to the surface and gaining more followers to support dedsec and their cause. That storyline in Watch Dogs 2 seems to be a whole lot better and then one and a lot more interesting. Plus Watch Dogs 1 had a very decisive release and people were disappointed in the character and what they showed and promised. Wd2 saved the franchise by giving promises that they kept and showed what you could really do as a hacker. Also Watch Dogs 2 the higher ratings than Watch Dogs 1. Also Watch Dogs 2 has better online and you can pet dogs in the city is more livelier interactive with people. In Chicago they just walk around and the only interaction you have with people or people who are just rapping from time to time. that's why
@@Retr0Dedsec245 I know this is a year old but you really should not compare the graphics, game mechanics, gameplay and the attention to detail of these games Because the prequel was released on old gen hardware and the sequel was released on current gen hardware. And there was 4 years of development time given to make watch dogs 2. The only thing we can fairly judge is the story. And your saying WD1 is bad because it has a revenge plot and you think revenge plots are generic. I could say the same about WD2 anti corporate plot, standing up for the little man and going up against an oppressive greedy establishment is the epitome of an American fairy tail. WD 2 was a bunch of kids playing white hat hacker and everyone was saying there are Soo relatable. As if those fan boys can hack like Marcus 😂 WD 1 you get to see Aiden's character development and how he changes as a person after everything he has done and went through. Now that's relatable.
The start of WD2 sucks it took a while for me to get into it unlike WD1 which got me hooked right from the beginning, I honestly enjoyed them both but personally Watchdogs 1 is the best imo. It had a better storyline and I had a crush on Clara Lille
the lunagamer169tm lol because i bet you're one if those rage quiters who give up like a child yes? Unlike Wd2 where it was so easy and stupid and didn't even make sense...
IMO City: Either (both of them are beautiful, but SF probably since it's more interactive) Character: Aiden (he's a badass) Parkour: Watch dogs 2 Hacking: Watch dogs 2 Driving: Watch dogs 2 Graphics: Watch Dogs 2 Shooting: Watch Dogs 1 Watch Dogs 2 + a badass character like Aiden who doesn't mind killing and can carry more than two damn weapons + an intense cinematic story+ Watch Dogs 1's weapons and shooting + BLACKOUTS = PERFECT WATCH DOGS GAME What say?
Krack Lin plus he a better hacker and more stealthy and like to take enemy by surprise. for me I like the story and the gameplay on watch dogs 1 and pulse Adien is a better Character, For me Watch dogs 1 better.
All you kids argue about who's better. Well Guss what that just proves you're in mature because real man don't fight about they just realize its other people's opinion.btw I like both games
I have a feeling why people think wd1 is better than the second. It's because of the character and the combat. I honestly don't think they Care about the hacking even though it's supposed to be a hacking game which it is. But lots of people focused on the combat than the hacking because that's really all there was to the first game was combat. there was really no hacking in the first one. And Ubisoft had a cool character who can do all of these different takedowns and combat skills. And that's what people really want. I honestly thought that they were gonna add something similar to that or even have Aiden back. But we have a Cool hipster hacker now who can do a lot more stuff in this new watch dogs. But for some reason people don't like him because he's a black hipster, or a person who is not good as Aiden. But does the character really matter. As long as we have a Awesome character with a good story, we still have the game right? But still both games are good.
It's not because he is a black hipster or he is not badass like Aiden. It's Bec of the story and the lack of a proper purpose and character development of the game that's ruins it. Look I like watch dogs 2 but god damn that game has a boring story and it's Soo forgettable. I haven't played watch dogs 1 in 7 years and I still remember it like it was yesterday.
Imo WD1 was better than WD2. The story was so much better I mean WD2 has the most cringe story and characters I've ever seen 😂 also tbh I don't think WD2 graphics are that much of a step up if even a step up at all lmao also WD1 camera angles looked better on the player and cars, however, WD2 no doubt has more personalisation and idk the Golden Gate Bridge lol
