That was my favorite. Beni on top of all those bananas and just rolls down and tries to grab one more on his way out. He is so funny. I love Beni and his antics.
The babysitters spent 7 years teaching him how to forage for food so I don't think he'll go hungry. If anything, he may get even bigger because he won't have the staff monitoring how much he eats. He'll be in fruit paradise!
Beni is dominant chonk. There's gonna be some interesting drama on the pre-release island food platform when Beni gets set loose there. I sure hope they can get a film crew in for a 3rd season so we can see plenty of it! Will Beni boss the older males already at the island? Or will they put him in his place, resulting in a slimmer Beni?
I love Beni, he’s such a sweet boy. He’s grown up so fast it’s honestly emotional, at the end of the video I was crying ngl. Best wishes go out to him!
I love these videos. Beni is gorgeous. But the humans are so special, too. The young vets face lights up as he talks about Beni, such a lovely young man.
Thank you all for taking care all the Orangutans. Thank you for feeding them, giving milk to them, giving foods and giving medicines when they are sick. Especially to the little Orangutans, whom you love giving care and love. Thank you all for loving and taking good care of them all. Thank you very much for giving home to them. Im from Philippines. God Bless All Of You.
It's wonderful to see Beni achieve this magnificent step towards his return to the forest. He is such a star. What you do for all orangutans is wonderful. I'm loving all your updates. Please stay safe in these times of the pandemic.
Tks for letting me watch their lives. All my love to forest school and all people and animals involved. I will never get to play with Beni and Valentino but I can still send all my love from 🇧🇷
😥😥OMG we got to love him so much ..now I can't imagine Beni by himself alone in the jungle in the dark..exposed to the elements , other animals like snakes, illnesses from mosquitos etc. 😥😥😥😥😞
He's an orangutan, not a human, living outside so he's quite used to the elements. Plus, he's had excellent surrogate mothers, babysitters and teachers that have prepared him well for release.
That's where he belongs. The risk of release is still better than keeping him in that cage forever. He will be fine, he is smart and resilient. The dude came right back from a broken femur like it was nothing.
Your Malay word for 🍌, piesang, is where we got our Afrikaans word from ! The word came to South Africa from the early Malays in this country in the 1700's. Interesting!
What a great and informing video! The People caring for the orang utans such as beni are doing such a good job!! Thank you, terimakasih for all the dedication and hard work!!
NGL this kinda illustrates that the editors of Jungle School were trying to "market" Beni as something a bit different than his actual personality. They would show him on his own and used the exact words "low social status" and framed the food-stealing incidents as unusual. Here, the vets clarify, "No, he's extremely sociable, he was actually very dominant and stole food out of habit." Honestly, good survival skills.
please move the subtitles to the bottom of the page. I've watched a number of video's now with this format, and it is very distracting. Otherwise, I love your content.
Oooo,my favorite.I love all of them, but few of my favorites are obviously Beni,Valentino,Otan(the fluffy ninja),Valentino,Meryl and I’m just struck my beauty of Cinta and Shiro,so long hair, beautiful. How that they have so much longer hair,is just genetics or are they different type than others,or maybe some sub-species? When I started watching this videos from Nyaru Menteng I got obsessed with Borneo,so much that I convinced my wife to travel there in 2023.Im from Slovenia Europe,so farr farr away and just trip costs between 2000-3000 eur on person. For person like me,this is a Lott of money,is gonna be right up there with Nepal.2 destinations that I wanna visit in this life!Borneo is like heaven.
The time for British colonialism in Indonesia is over, I'm sick of seeing all these Brits running around Indonesia telling these people they can't prosper ftom palm oil because of these stupid apes! I'ts a bunch of nonsense to stop these poor people from becoming economically empowered . Aw look at the poor apes these people are killing ! That's the bad press you will try to release. You racist colonialist care more about the fifthy animals of this country than you do about the Indonesian children having a future. This isn't your country or your business. The queen is dead and I hope this country wakes up to your bullshit and send all of you home!!
I think that with Beni’s good obsession, once he is released it will drive him to forage more effectively, especially if there is no feeding platform to rely on, and no others to steal from. So Beni’s greediness can actually work in his favour.
I think he's probably about 8 years old because that's usually the age that males become more aggressive and difficult for the babysitters to manage. Season 2 showed a group of males around this age from group 5 that graduated from forest school and were moved to a large socialization enclosure to wait for space on a pre-release island.
Why do an update on Beni and not show Beni! People want to hear about him yes but most of all we want to seeee how Beni is doing. A few 3 second shots of Beni not good enough, Show him please

Alot of the orangutans sound better off kept at the socialization complex and not totally left out in the wild to depend on just thereselves. They should still be where you can drop food off to them. The orangutan situation is to dire. And they hVe always required humans help. And it is our job to help them. We are all gods creatures. They are critically endangered because we sat around and didn't worry about them. And look at it now.
