He is tired you know mate. He got baby now, he probably wake up in the middle of the night bcs of his baby crying. Well its understandable you know hahaha
Or he just came across a guy with a decent collection of watches and he's just happy sharing his thoughts rather than DESTROYING the collection as the title suggests
I was already into watches big time before having found Nico but the history he gives with the watches and naming their reference numbers is just another piece of knowledge to add to myself. Keep it up Nico
Nico I love your videos! I met you this weekend at Goodwood, you’re a proper Legend! I opened my camera to take a photo and it was on pano mode. You cracked a joke about how it was needed to fit you in the frame. Made my weekend mate - God Tier!
I'm not mad about the Yachtmaster, but fair play to him getting it at 19. I like the Calatrava, if you do lots of classic men's fashion you need a simple dress watch. He probably made it back in the Aquanaut and the Nautilus if he got those retail. Nothing to be deeply offended about here. It's a bit obvious big hitters. I think some vintage complications is the next tier. I'd be tempted to flip the AP, bit boring if you have the two Patek's.
"Nothing to be deeply offended about here" Mate, if someone ELSE's watch collection causes you offense, I think it's high time to take a step back from the hobby as a whole and take a breather lmao
Not Polish but Spanish. Calatrava is a name of the military order. The picture you shared is a symbol of this order - "Orden de Calatrava" :) Greetings from Poland!
Never seen José or his channel before, however after this vid I'll have to watch more of his stuff. Seems like a genuinely good guy with good taste and good decisions.
What i luv about the big man is his extensive and insane knowledge on watches and horology and in doing vids for us mere Plebs it makes it more interesting and informative along with the ridiculously funny content he brings to the party. I hope that your business grows and grows so that u keep giving us what we want and have come accustomed too over your years of producing U Tube vids... Well done Nico.....⌚⌚
Nico you’re a legend!! Love the content you and the team put out for our entertainment. Love from WA state in the U.S of A. Also, g-shock is god tier . Have many of them
@@glebb..3416 tbh nothing really. Nico has some issue re their price v the actual cost of their movement...but for me it doesn't matter. It's all subjective.
Love how the title was changed from “DESTROYS” to “reacts to”. I think people love Nico because he comes across as authentic; clickbait titles don’t go along nog with that. Love to see that the comments agree and the editors have a level of introspection and listen to ‘criticism’. Anyway; still a great video AND watch collection!
Came here for this 😂 bought a Vincero a couple years back because of this guy. Luckily I had the sensibility to return it the moment I held it in my hand.
I don’t like the look of oyster bracelet on two tone watches, but I think it makes the Datejust more versatile on the all stainless models! I personally own a Datejust II with black Roman dial and white gold fluted bezel with oyster bracelet and can wear it with pretty much everything!
Every time Nico sees a Timex goes "that's the indiglo" but that's like seeing a Rolex and saying "that's the oyster perpetual" it's a spec now a days, not a model. Thought it was funny haha
He actually pronounced calatrava correctly as the calatrava cross was created as a simbol for the the religious order of calatrava which was located in ciudad real in spain
For the first time i felt that nico couldn't hate the guy even if he tried to that means he's biased when it comes to fashion channels. This guy was solid. But nico still tried to get him through caltrava but anyways. He ended up being a fan
2:51 @NicoLeonard Not that I'm being overly critical of Nicos knowledge because it's insane, but the terminology for Oystersteel and Platinum is Rolesium and is currently exclusive to the Yacht-Master family. Thought I would add for any other nerds looking for more terminology 🤓👍🏻
Nico, you got a big ol’ like from me for that bit of self-awareness about your Ferrari filling the hole in your insecurity! Not a lot of RU-vidrs would’ve admitted to that, mate!
All these guys that present their collections clearly watch this channel as they say all the right things now. No real horror show watches, plus at times, You can almost predict their next sentence.
Y'all should do a reaction to Shedeur Sanders' watches he wears while doing "The Shedeur." Deion Sanders' son who plays quarterback for The University of Colorado American Football Team. Being watch people, that's an incoming fad/trend that y'all can get behind!
Hey Nico, love the channel and following since looong time! You hitting 1.5 subs shortly, congrats! Btw, Calatrava country origin is Spain, not Poland. Although, Patek indeed has polish roots.
Just a comment on Calatrava, it is the cross used by the knights of the Calatrava Order in Spain (the knights being named after the fortress of Calatrava)
This cross was also spanish military order up to 1939. Patek was in the army and ended up with the biggest polish military decoration Virtuti Militari Order. Maybe he just saw this emblem on spanish soldier and fought it just look good. In any case, an interesting person
@@LucaPic hi Luca, this is literally from Patek website: " Hallmark of gallantry and independence The Calatrava cross also expresses the noblesse that is inherent in its name. Calatrava was the name of a Spanish order of knighthood that was founded in the late 12th century. Its blazonry stands for courage, chivalry, and independence, traits inseparably associated with the knights of the era. These are also traits that Patek Philippe strives to embody."
We come to your channel for your passion and your knowledge...Loved this video, you didn't DESTROY this guy, and he genuinely seems passionate about watches and is lucky enough to be able to buy some very beautiful watches.....so whomever is writing your titles, we don't need click bait.....Just be honest..."Watch Expert reviews TeachingMensFashion Watch Collection".....it may not be as catchy ......but its way more accurate...Thank You Nico for NOT destroying or looking for fault but rather being honest and humorous as you reviewed these watches......The only fault I found with this guy is his collection is pretty stock standard for someone with money, not knocking him, If I had that sort of money.....my collection would also have those watches in it!! (It would also have some Breguet, Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger Le Coultre....) Keep up the great content!
I'm with you 100% on the yacht master Nico , love it. I'm also with you on the yachtmaster 2, horrible looking thing with the blue bezel ,white dial and gold bracelet ( white bezel and dial is ok).
Sad truth confession Nico. What have you done to me? I was watching Mighty car mods when they went to France. They met a guy with a wonder cal collection. I stoped paying attention to the cars and tried to figure out his watch. Turns out it was a Hublot spirit of big bang and I started to die with laughter imagining your reaction.
TMF was tapped for the Calatrava, and made PP influencer, hence the line of PP watches. Yachtmaster & Datejust are the only personal watches, former a lucky buy, and latter, a timepiece in today's market.
AD: Sir, you have to buy 4 Calatravas before We can put you on the waiting list. Jose: but they are ugly. AD: with the Nautilus in his hand…are you sure? 😂
is it just me or is nico slowly falling off? Feels like gradual decline for the last 1-2 years :( And now with more watch channels than ever I hope he finds his old self soon. Miss the original vids
Agree he's missing vintage, that's where I'd almost always look for a dressier watch tbh but there's plenty of other cool things around. And lol, I love the jubilee bracelet but when my Dad was looking at a datejust he wanted fluted bezel with oyster, he thought the jubilee was too much
Calatrava is a Spanish town. Spanish crusader knights used that cross. Hence, those who know see the connection with the logo and the Spanish crusader knight cross.
My question is quite simple: how did you get rich? Did you have a brilliant business idea and immaculate execution of it? Did you inherit? You put yourself into public view, so no question is too private now.
@@tanmaysai5961 yea - thats what I'm going to do with my time: listen to podcasts of this fatso to learn about his pointless life that will be forgotten by all the minute he is gone from the world. Just buy more watches - that will make you feel like you existence has a meaning.
I keep getting adverts for the Hamilton Indiana Jones watch. Would be cool to see Nico react/review different movie tie in watches. See what's good and what's a cash in.
IFL watches are a rip off. Paying $1090 for a watch that can easily be had for $280 is laughable. The work IFL does doesn't justify a 400% markup. Someone hand painted a splatter design on the dial and now wants $800 more for the watch lmao
@@guitar864 One day a Tudor but for now Tissot the reason I'm doing okay especially nearly dying from an accident that happened to a few years ago and loosing my job and now getting back what I lost just taking life not granted but enjoying it as much as possible. So if it means me buying a Tissot and not buy a fake watch like most people who acts like there rich well that's them but for me I want a watch that will last a long time and it's a great price plus I do own a very expensive Hamilton Men's Intra-Matic Auto Chrono Auto Chronograph Watch but some reason I love the design of some of the Tissot that's out there. And yes a Tudor is an entry level Rolex but one day I'll buy a Rolex but for now I stick to my Tissot Watches. Plus I live up in the Sierra Mountain's and I need a rugged watch that I can without worrying about destroying it in the process. Thank you for your comment and yes one day I'll buy a better watch than a Tissot but for now I'm just enjoying Tissot. And if I happened to buy my first Tudor I'll definitely give you a shout out and say hello I bought my first entry level Rolex but for now it's Tissot.
Nico, Calatrava and the cross do not have anything to do with Poland. It's a Spanish name of a place which of the cross in question was a sign of :) Patek was Polish that's correct 😅
Nico love your videos i recently bought a hamilton jazz master a local watch seller near me was going out of business and i got it for 500 dollar brand new in box only checked it out cause of your videos big inspiration to me i hope you continue to make great content God bless! 👍🏻
