I was told the colorful APs are only sold as a set together and it’s over $2 mil. They’re also only making about 10 sets or so and it has to go through a special approval process.

Yes we found out only later on that they will be sold as a set of 10 and pricing will actually be over 10M CHF for all 10. Actually I hear AP has only completed 2 sets so far and is having a very hard time finding all matching stones to complete this set 👍

I enjoyed the give and take between all three viewpoints. I think that beauty lies in the beholder and it comes down to personal choice. I still am trying to understand from a horological perspective how AP commands six figure pricing. For example AP finally came up with a way to advance the date without winding the watch through a 24 hour cycle. Clap, clap, It took AP forever to catch up with the rest of the industry. I am a dial first type of guy. Imagine AP took the music dial and came up with a multi-colored pattern across the entire dial! That would be really enticing.

Definitely have some fair points Danny. When it comes to AP prices on the secondary market it's all about supply/demand. At the end of the day demand is extremely high and even though AP makes 40,000 watches per year, supply simply is not enough. Market pricing also is dependent on spend history required to get that watch at retail. Usually it will be some multiple of spend history required to get it at retail which will initially determine the market price for a new release and then naturally the watch reaches a market price equilibrium. Hope my explanation makes sense 👍 AP Music edition with a full coloured dial would have been awesome for sure!! Thanks as always for your viewership and support of these videos 😁🙌

Honestly I really think AP nailed the design of the Onyx Code. To me having as much Onyx real estate on the dial as possible was a great choice! But of course this is just my personal preference 😁🙌

The new AP gems are sold as a 10-piece set. You can choose either 41mm or 37mm, but can't be mixed. Two sets have been sold so far. Price is at 9.85 mil chf for 41mm and 9.25 mil chf for 37mm. You will unlikely see any of them in real life. The 3rd set is pending on sale now due to difficulty in finding the right gems. Even if you have money, you simply can't get it. It's that simple.

@@MarcoFerranteWatches first set sold to Italy. 2nd set sold to Japan. Many VVIP AP clients are rejected to buy this set. One guy in my local area is ready to buy one from AP House, but got politely declined. It’s not a limited production. However, it’s near impossible to buy one.

Watch Eric was correct. A watch dedicated to music should have had a artist behind it. And super limited the watch. Most people who spend that kind of money are literally watch enthusiast's. Seiko and Casio can mass produce weird watches. Not a company charging let's say 5k and up.

Great vid! The AP "Music" with the equaliser dial I think is as tone-deaf, literal and ugly as the Black Panther. For real, I wish for the calibre of maison they'd get better designers for their Royal Oaks. The work they're doing on the 11.59 has been much better in my opinion and don't get the hate that model got. It's literally the first non-Royal Oak decent design coming from AP in decades, although they have been "taking inspiration" from H. Moser in terms of cues as Roman also pointed out. The stone-encrusted ones are ridiculous XD

Personally I do like the Music AP and I'm also a fan of the Black Panther just because it's a wearable Concept and I love the Concept line but dislike the fact that every other Concept is unwearable on my wrist. Totally agree regarding the Code 11.59, I really think AP has been nailing their recent designs of the 11.59 line 😁🙌
