In this video, I demonstrate weaving the log cabin pattern on a rigid heddle loom.
Loom featured in the video is an Ashford 32" Rigid Heddle Loom with a 12.5 Dent Heddle.
Yarn is 8/2 cotton from Great Northern Weaving.

Your method of warping for log cabin is totally different than the one given on the Ashford blog. I'll have to try it, to see if it's any easier. :)

Love your explanation! Thank you. I'm weaving a bath towel for a baby using 8/2 cotton. Do you suggest double or single warping?

Depends on what size heddle you are using. I would use 8/2 doubled in a 12 dent heddle and single in. 15 dent heddle.

No I change every time between up and down just like normal plain weave. The only thing that changes is which color you use. Hope that helps.
