The two camera angles is amazing! You are so confident and inspiring to other techs like me. I would loooove to see an in-depth efile video with two angles and slow motion as you explain what you're doing and how to angle the clients hand. I struggle not hitting the skin with using an efile 😭
Such a good idea! I always use skin safe bits or bits with softened edges. 😃 Sometimes it does touch the skin but it will not cut or hurt the client. Thanks for watching 😊
So pretty! Thank you for doing normal length nails! I do love the fun long nails but I can’t wear them for more than a few days before losing my mind and most techs do this length all day every day, so thanks so much for that. And thank your mom for letting you film. She has great nail beds like my mom does.
Love the two camera angles! Able to really get a more accurate view. So refreshing to hear you say what you would like to improve on! So humble !! 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Beautiful! What a gorgeous set of little jewels! That woman has perfect nails. I’m kinda jealous. ☺️ I do like the dual camera view. Wow. Warm wishes from Minnesota.❤️❤️❤️❤️💅🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I clicked so fast! Love all your videos! I don't use acrylic so everything you do is perfect for me to learn from!! Big fan of the two camera angles and of your work! 😍
your work is seriously always flawless! the cuticle work, the shape and structure of the nails, the designs, the application of color.. WOW! i def think it's a good idea to do less nipping, i imagine it leaves a lot of hangnails if you don't also buff after nipping
This is just such a gorgeous set!! Love your work and especially your watch me work on real hands and the way you include removal of product, prepping and finishing off!!🙏🏻💙🇦🇺
Definitely going to try this on my mom. I’ve been practicing encapsulating glitter on her but gel polish doesn’t stay on her nails because she’s so rough with them. I’m going to try and maybe encapsulate the gel polish and see how that works out. I have one more month until I’m done with nail school and once I’m licensed, im going straight to ordering all these products.
Love the two camera angles, Katie! It's so great to see how your channel is evolving! Question: Do you have a video about maintaining your equipment, for example how to clean the brushes? I would really love to see something like this, it would be really helpful!
Loving the two camera angles! Sometimes it's hard for beginners to see how lightly you're touching the gel with the brush and the best way to see that of course is from the side view. Also how high an apex should be, where it should be, all those little but important details. TFS
I don’t know how I discovered your channel but I’m so glad that I did! You are so talented. I’m not a nail tech (just an enthusiast) and was wondering why you didn’t wipe the nails after you buffed but before you applied gel?
Yes yes yes!! I love watching your watch me work videos!!!! The 2 camera angles are so good! I'm not licensed but love doing my nails and I always learn so much from you!!! I have the ball but from Erica's as well. It's taking some time to get the hang of it. What speed are you working at with the ball bit? Can't wait for your next video!!
Such a beautiful set and love the colors that were used and the flowers. Where did you get the flowers from? Love them and absolutely love the mani 💕 so amazing.. P.S. the client has great nails and nail beds I’m so jealous I have short weird flat nails 🥺😭😫🙁😔
Tysmftv Katie 😊. Love your watch me work vids and the 2 camera angles were perfect. The glitter/flower nails are so cute 😍. Is the coloured trinity a little thicker than the clear or is it just an illusion? Side note: love your Mom's wedding ring, so unique 🙂
Absolutely love this video. Love both angles!!! That colour really pops. I do have a question, my friends nails were over filed at the tips her cuticle and nail beds seem to be ok. Would you recommend to just leave them natural or apply a thin layer of builder?
Katie! I’m in love with the choices of your spring color in this video. The past few weeks I brought some of the products thru your link, ❤️ so I’ll have to check it out these bright gel colors and glitters too. BTW I am a fan of your tutorials, it takes a lot of prep and time to master. Amazingly done! The dual angles of the camera it’s very nice if I need to go back and see in a better view. Perhaps it should get a bit closer the side angles, I was a bit distracted with the things in the background. Sorry perhaps it’s just my mind flowing into the space. Your mom must have all the attention when she gets her nails done so perfectly 💅🏻💕 - question: how long the curing time when you use trinity gel to cover the embellishments? Have a lovely day 🙏🏻
Do you use a clean up brush? If so which one? I’m trying to see out one that won’t go weird Al on me. Thank you so much for sharing, I love your content!
You always do the prettiest nails 😍 I love these. Question (I just graduated nail school so definitely still learning) after you filed before polish application did you lay a base coat down for the gel polish to adhere to? 🤓♥️
This video is really helpful! Also have a question. I noticed a lot of dust comes out when filing off the old product do you recommend maybe glasses during the filing process. I know people always use mask but what about glasses as well?
If you mean under the tips? I have never tried it. You would have to give it a go and see what happens 😀 I think usually they use a soft gel for adhering tips
When first doing a dry mani, the cuticle area may feel a little more sensitive until it gets used to it. Just make sure you're being gentle, and if you feel any pain at all, then stop and you can do a little more next time. 😊
Hey! I was just thinking - You said that the commit primer doesn't require curing in a lamp, but the bottle says UV/LED. What do they mean by that if it doesn't have to be cured? I'm just curious 🙈🌸
I’m pretty sure all the packaging says that and they just didn’t take it off for the Primer packaging. I’m Luminary certified and it 100% does not need to be cured, it’s an air dry primer.
The gel gets hot when curing. So instead of relying on the client to pull their hand in and out of the lamp to prevent the heat spike. It’s much easier for me to have them flash cure each nail, then when they put their whole hand in, most of the nails have already been flash cured and there is no heat. ☺️
