We currently have a choice between two known commodities (though we don't know what they'll be like in 4 years), so throwing out Biden pits a unknown against a popular known commodity, albeit bat **** crazy. The only candidate who could have a chance in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania would have to be from the Great Lakes or midwest, but not a woman. (Yes, sad to say, I don't think the undecideds are enlightened enough) Sherrod Brown? Gary Peters? Andy Beshear? J.B. Pritzker? Tim Walz?

J.B. And Whitmer as vp. I’m a trump supporter but political junkie, from northern Michigan living in nyc. Your criteria for a Midwest ticket is very interesting. I think you’re entirely right a female Midwest politician couldn’t win albeit VP choices are now a game changer in the eyes of the voters. Klobuchar and whitmer are the top two female politicians. Democrats can’t risk senate seats so whitmer is the only available choice. I think you’re right, the biggest question in this election is the Midwest. Either major campaign promises need to be on the line (for either party) or proper candidates. I think against trump a JB and Whitmer ticket would win. Trump could do something wild like pick a Midwest VP like John James of Michigan, little name recognition but could deflate Whitmer and chip away at JB’s “black vote”.

I like Joe Biden and support his administration. But he is too old and out to lunch. He and Harris are a weak ticket. If Trump is an existential threat, then we deserve better. We have plenty of able backups who can do the job and beat Trump.
