It was so easy for them to disregard all common sense to support him. They don't even say they are heartbroken that she died. Or that any of what Chad told them was fishy. Not even when BODIES WERE FOUND IN HIS BACKYARD! It's very weird.

His fixation on nothing burgers is a failing tactic. Whether there are stairs in the house, who drove the truck or whether Tammy thought it was a paintball gun, in no way get at the facts and evidence. Chad is skilled at confusing people. Prior, his kids - all are focused on nonsense points, ignoring the fact that Chad very much was involved in multiple murders and body disposals.

I wonder how his kids felt about being called “the Dudley’s “ by their loser dad. Notice Prior made it clear he had told the kids they were not to watch the trial or read anything about it under the pretence of them not tailoring their testimony to suit Chad, I believe it was Chad’s order that they do not watch the trial so they didn’t see the evidence presented that may have changed their minds on his innocence. Imagine not knowing how the kids actually died or just what their father was saying to Lori about their mother and the kids. They don’t know he said it was torture going on a trip with them or he felt like Harry Potter living under the stairs when at home with them. Ss much hidden from them so far to make sure they stick to what Chad told them.

I found it so interesting to hear that Prior’s hourly rate, as an experienced trial attorney, is $350/hour. We live in Northern California near San Francisco. When I moved here in May 1988, I think the rate for a partner or senior litigator was $700/hour. I’m not sure what it is now, but I would guess at least $1000/hr. I feel pretty comfortable saying, though, that John Prior wouldn’t cut it at a San Francisco law firm, not because of his ineptitude with technology but because of his manner, which is smug, rude, whiny, chauvinistic… depending on the day or the circumstances. I want to be clear that I have no problem with a defense attorney doing his job- we’ve had the need to use defense counsel a few times, and that’s how our system works. What I do find offensive is the way Prior talks to and about people (body shaming murder victim Tammy Daybell being perhaps the worst example during this trial). In the complete other hand, the prosecutors (especially Lindsey Blake imo) and Judge Boyce could work anywhere. They are the gold standard for respect and integrity, in addition to just performing their jobs so well.

@@ajordan1976 that'd be the reason I am constantly given and oh "who will take care of you when you are old." You and I are from very different cultures, not everyone has children where I am from because they want to. It's pressure and they look at them as an investment. Story for another day.

The worst thing is to have kids you didn't want or with an agenda. Unconditional love is what it's all about. To each their own. Honestly I feel guilty sometimes for bringing know ds into the world.
