This is one of reasons why dad has taught me to be resourceful with almost anything, in 2019 we had a problem with our well pump, and we called the plumber and he said that it was going to be a $5000 fix, dad told him to get the hell out of the house after he heard that number come out of the plumber's mouth, so soon after we decided to just buy a new well pump and some replacement tubes, and try our best to fix it ourselves with no plumbing experience, after a few RU-vid videos and some trial and error, we finally made it work and not even half ass it! The reason being since that fix our well pump has been working perfectly fine as it should, and we only spent around $500; A way better deal compared to $5000 "fix"

One of my closest friends has a Plumbing company started by his dad. I worked with them for 4 years in Chicago. Took so much pride in the fact that we were young, always worked honestly, and not once tried to rip off a customer like a scumbag.

They've caught so many crooks with just this one house. Imagine how many people get scammed daily.

I was charged $700 for my air duct cleaning too. They advertised for $200 but when they came in they said this and that and ended up charging me $700. They’re just advertising the low price to get into your house then the real charge comes out after that.

They need to be charged with the crime when caught. Should be attempted robbery. Had ATT add me a line to my plan, said it would be only 30$ more. Received the bill for 260$. When I presented my voice recording of my interaction in the store they dismissed the bill as a mistake. Lol

This is done all the time in medical offices. Had a specialist doctor charge 700$ for a "surgery" that took a grand total of 5 minutes and didn't involve anything but his hands.
