A strange balcony scene. An almost empty balcony. The few royals present are squeezed in the corner. Princess Ann is invisible, the King’s real nephew is in the back while the balcony is full of non-royals, some other kids and two old ladies, friends of the new old Queen (are they more important now than the princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, for example?), some other old people who have never been before on the balcony, weird.

Note the non-royal children to the left of Queen Camilla on the Buckingham Palace balcony - her grandchildren. So it left very little room for the Princess Royal, Prince Edward's family and Prince William's family. CAMILLA is really in charge. That's why Harry said she is dangerous
@@CraftEccentricity I don't like that she even has the title Queen Consort (as a non-regnant queen). A better title would be Duchess of Somewhere, Consort to Charles III. And she shouldn't be called "your majesty." I can't forget what she put Dianna through. She goes after other women's husbands when she had one of her own.

@@brenda1005 read it again. I said he would likely be on the throne a couple of decades, not 70 years. The Queen was 96 when she died, Philip was 99. Likely the King will die well into his 90s, which is still a couple of decades away.

Some of them were Camilla's grandchildren. One of them was Charles grandson. What on earth is your problem with giving these lovely boys, who carried out their roles so well, their moment "in the sun.". The Coronation was about the King and Queen and their supporters. The rest of the family I'm sure happily let C&C have centre-stage - it was THEIR Coronation after all!!!!!!
The boy is one of her grandsons. She wanted him close by her side to show the crowd that she is not abandoning the family she had before she married Charles. And to leave room on the far right of the balcony for the other relations.
When she visited Ireland recently, they were going to bring a car around for her, and she said no, she could walk. She also insisted on carrying her own suitcase. She has competed in the Olympics, and once bravely fought off an attempt to kidnap her. (They left that part out of that fictional rubbish called "the Crown".) She's my favourite "royal".
Diana have her life in the spotlight, if she had worn her seatbelt, she'd still be alive, and as mother of future King, I'm sure Charles would have had her there as a special guest...and she sure would have kept Harry in line and wouldn't have let him mess his life up like he has....she would have ensured he stayed loyal to his brother and father...Diana always said that Charles a very good father.
I couldn't help noticing Princess Anne never got a look in at the balcony today. There were so many kids swarming around she didn't get the chance to join the adults at the front. Once KC had gone back inside, everyone else followed him. Princess Anne was the last to leave, and she was able to give one wave (Which was acknowledged by the crowd), and then went inside. My wife and I felt really sorry for her.
Disappointed that all those none royals were on the balcony yet actual royal wasn’t, sorry big mistake it should have stayed with working royals only , it’s turned into the Camilla family & fan club
William has been and will again be on the balcony many times. This is just the one moment to honour the 8 grandchildren from a blended family who played a part in the proceedings of the day.

I was pleased to see Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Kent and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester on the balcony. So many decades of loyal service given, with little recognition or fuss. So deserving of a balcony appearance and cheers from the crowd. 😇
@@theresaakins2317 The Duchess of Kent does not undertake Royal duties any more, which is why she was not there. She has separated from the Duke some time ago, but remains on very friendly terms. She has worked as a teacher for several years. The Duke of Kent still plays an active part in Royal duties, so do the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
They were part of Counselors of State when they Queen was alive. Duchess of Kent has a passion for music and I believe her charities reflect around music.

When she was crowned, she became queen. Consort is given to the person who doesn’t have royal blood. The Queen mother was consort and so was Queen Mary. They just drop the ‘consort’ part when they get crowned.

I’ve just read a little bit and it seems to be a different rule for men as the title of King can only be inherited (or taken by force) where as the title of queen can be either inherited or gained through marriage so she is queen. Styled as Queen Camilla but she is still Queen Consort not Queen Regnant

Diana had TWO sons. I grew up to be a responsible adult, and became the Prince of Wales, with a lovely wife and family. The other never grew up and got stuck at being a petulant, spoiled adolescent - just Harry.
You are so right. They destroyed a beautiful young naive woman. She truly loved him in the beginning until she worked it out, sadly as early as her honeymoon. Harry has openly said it, things became unbearable when they tried to re-invent Camilla as someone who deserved respect. An interesting comment. You're definitely a very compassionate and empathetic person. I think though in the case of the King and his wife Camilla, there's so much adrenaline running through them-- especially Charles-- that right now he won't feel it but tomorrow he will but it will be well worth it because he waited a long long time for this day🎉
