The legal system and the political system MUST be independent of each other for there to be checks and balances, so WHY do you have Presidents assigning judges, that's inherently conflicting, they must only be assigned on merit not who gave them the job, that must be changed, root and branch change to the system.

Also, isn't it interesting that while during confirmation hearings the same justices didn't want to talk about hypothetical cases, but now all the sudden, hypothetical cases come on down!

JUSTICES that are overturning the laws because they remember their own past accusations of impunity and haven't been held accountable because they are held only to what is their own acceptance of their own ethical standards as their own moral committee standard.45's lawyers are playing mischievous games with the Constitution and WE THE PEOPLE and holding Justice accurately accountable is what is necessary. No Dictator-King belongs in our Independent Republic and governing over our Democracy. NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW. The interpretative outcome must be NO PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY because in our 🇺🇸 USA gov't and in our Democratic. Society we are all held to the same standard rule of law. And NOBODY is above the law!! Especially not a former twice impeached 4x with 88 counts criminally indicted citizen 45 who happened to arguably have held the highest office in American History as the President from 2016-2020 and deliberately CHOSE to engage in evil-doing by breaking state and federal laws! And now is demanding political compliance from the SCJ's for presidential IMMUNITY. The Justices must see that this PRIVILEGE can NOT be granted to anybody in America especially not the president who is held to the highest standards of our Constitutional Law. And who has taken a sacred oath to defend and uphold this formidable institution of Democracy. PLEASE stop the hypotheticals and the future presidential what is. We have before us in this very moment a situation that deserves a clear, exact timely decision from these Justices 4 this former president 4 very obvious reasons. Delaying this judicial consideration of NO IMMUNITY is in truth, setting in place, a de facto immunity that delays proceeding to trial dates that are imminent and forthcoming. Why does Trump bother attending court? If he has the power to do whatever he wants and avoid any consequences, couldn't he simply skip it altogether? If he truly believes he is immune from legal repercussions, why engage in any activity he dislikes? It's puzzling.

I am disgusted and disappointed by the SCOTUS. The Court made NO mention of Trump's role with respect to the January 6 insurrection.

Since the time of Lincoln, the nation has been moving towards a better understanding of what it means to be a free people in a free nation where every citizen is held as equal under the law and given the exact same rights, liberties and freedoms and all others. That meant that women had the right to vote, people of different races had the right to marry, segregation of races was wrong, homosexuals were not criminals or insane, the right to bodily autonomy was constitutional and protected, people were allowed to marry whomever they wanted to, women were to be paid the same as a man doing the same job with the same skills, we take care of the most vulnerable within our nation. Have we been perfect in all of that? No. but we were working on it until the era of trumpism and the rise of white christian nationalism entered the picture. Off the rails went the train of the nation. We have made a small correction in that we elected a decent, well-qualified and capable man to replace the wannabe dictator, but we haven't finished the job of getting back on track yet. Let's put that train back on the tracks and move us forward again to a place we all can live in again. That includes that we hold every citizen (including presidents) to the same standards of obeying the laws of our land. Immunity is for kings and we have no kings in the U.S.A.
