I actually feel that if the ballots were confidential, Trump would have been convicted. There were several senators, Roy Blunt for example, who only voted not guilty because they knew voting guilty would be political suicide.
The Senate is making a mistake. They cannot vote to acquit Donald Trump. He is no longer President of the United States of America anymore. He threatened our democracy.

Congress has literally no power to convict in this case; Impeachment is for a SITTING president, not one that is no longer in office. In this sense, he's correct. Now, I am not defending him, however, as I don't keep up with politics.
