I was born and raised in the 90's and I remember watching Soul Train as a little boy. The 80's seems like it was fun they had the best music and the 90's did too I still listen to the music from both decades.

😎My children are tired of me talking and reminiscing about the “Epic 80s!” The various music genres, (rap, hip-hop, etc.), artists, performers, musicians and music groups, dances (breakdancing, popping & locking, moonwalk, etc.), the explosion of music videos and cable tv, clothes, fads, tv shows, movies, toys, computer science, video games, innovations in technology, space travel, and call waiting! I’d gladly do it all over again! 💜

@@clarencesimmons8580 bruh, you're 100% right! True story. I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the early 80's while in the Marine Corps. With all the commercials removed from Soul Train, the show was about 25 minutes! We all waited for the "Soul Train" line. You know what I'm talkin' bout! Ha! Those memories will last forever! I was also on Soul Train from its beginnings in Chicago. Black and ashy as I could be. 😅🤣 We all stayed behind the tape line when dancing. Imagine that! Many of the more popular Soul Train Dancers were from the Chi. 🙂 Facts!

70's and 80's were soul trains best decades. Some may have pushed the narrative that ratings decreased when he began inviting Caucasian artists on; ratings may have gone down but it wasn't because of that. It was the emerging cable service. Television began offering more and more choices. Programing became more competitive. Soul train stood strong and held its' own in a more crowded medium.
