Awesome way to encourage Australian manufacturing. The reality behind all your salesman talk is because you can make them cheep. As good as the process may be I can assume that there oh&s and fair work conditions may be lacking. I know our day to day items come from china but as a good Aussie I would say for a luxury item like a boat let’s back our local industry and be proud of a good Aussie boat builder.
@stevecuthbertson4053
you can buy poorly made products from anywhere. to presume that an australian businessman cant go to a foreign country, design, oversee and create a high quality product is naive. I havent seen your boats in person but whats the issue? any buyer can inspect them and instantly decide for themselves if they are getting value for money. quality is obvious as is poor quality. no one is getting there arm twisted. what i do appreciate is that taking the initiative and investment you have, means, aussies can buy a locally supported boat for a much better price without the dangers inherent in buying direct from china, which do include all the things that others are commenting on. good luck to you. we need more businesses like this.
@ghostighosti9443
Ill stick to Aussie made, no matter what sales spin is put out there. Support local manufacturing!
@eatmesunday8051
Flog Aussie jobs to make a buck. Great idea.
@stevepierce3509
All I can say is if building a boat spend your money in Australia so it goes to Australian Families, its plain and simple.
@bubbleobill267
I’m waiting for the ten year update on how your boat is going.
@gypana
Manufacturing that was once done in Germany , France, USA , Japan and Australia was always top quality and that is materials and workmanship, things made in China just aren't as good and everyone knows it, that's why you're making this video, made in China has recently meant cheap and crap and they went down this path on all on their own with their cheap imitation ripoffs...as for these boats you're promoting I wish you the best I honestly do but other companies have gone and died in China because not many trust the quality coming from there mate.
@strapper_d
Sad that Australian manufacturing has to give way to this type sales spew
@WTFitsJames
The thing people dont understand is china sells to two markets, those who want cheap items (us markets) and those who want expensive. Think, they produce iphones, they have their own international space station. Uncle sam said we want this but make it cheaper, so they use cheap parts. For other countries they get premium stuff because they pay (standard prices)
@tritonjackmam5.681
are these the boats out of gospel boats ??
@Legendbilliards
Good video man, totally agree with you.
@dota2lol942
i saw you towing one of these boats on Bruce Highway before, man they look massive, bigger than most boats in the market claim to be the same size
@marchillyard199

I in Qingdao in 2008/2009 and my b/in-law took me to a boat yard where they build Italian glass boats inside and tug boats outside - I bought and imported a 2nd hand Suzuki 23ft c/c from Japan in 2011 - Cost me $14K landed in Sydney including freight from Newcastle dock
@rosskennedy
I 2002 I bought sea rider 6.0m made in Perth,greatest ally boat for rivers,inshore and way out wide,has stood test of time and thousands outings.
@simonstone3336
Well said mate 👏 👍
@gerardchuah717
I totally agree with you....I have been working with the Chinese for the last 30 years and there are some excellent products out there...thanks for sharing your experience in a very rational manner
@mikewulffy
Good honest video.
@jasonwright131
I am writing this message from Jamaica. I was also one of those guys extremely skeptical of ANYTHING from china. I work in construction here and that was my feeling until about 10 years ago when people started importing trucks and other heavy equipment from china. Now if anyone has visited a third world country you will see that we overload and overwork everything! And I have seen these dump trucks painfully overloaded and they are still going. They have recently taken over the trucking industry here because everyone loves them. The same for the heavy equipment the excavators and tractors so I can totally agree with you it all depends on the factory you get things from. There are crap factories for sure but there are also very good ones. That actually convinced me to import one of these boats from china as well to “test the waters” with them in the Caribbean. So I guess we will see how that goes.
