How do you lay a single strip of LED lights around corners when you want them face up without damaging the strip such as on a cornhole board
@ModernHobbyist
@ModernHobbyist 24 дня назад
You can either cut them and solder wires from each contact to the next, or they sell corner connectors that clip on to the strip and make a 90° turn to connect to a different clip. Hope that helps!

Hello! I will be inlaying LEDS inside carvings within a plywood panel and will be pouring epoxy resin over the carvings, I think I will be an IP 65!

Nice vid. You should check out COB leds, they are beautiful as a strip of light, you can't see each individual pixel.

Hey dude cool and informative vid. I have a question for ya, (fair warning long explanation sorry) I normally use my UBS LED lights but their not in strips they are more like Christmas light design. I got them at best buy as a bonus gift if you put money on a gift card you'd get the lights. (Needless to say I went a little overboard with my gf and we got like 10 gift cards the lights weren't very long only a few feet and if you unwind them they extend a bit longer so we just put the min of $20 on each card) 😏. They are great lights and plug in UBS so I got a USB hub to have them all plugged in at once. I haven't had any issues or found any ones better than them. I saw the light strips years ago (2013/2014) but I wasn't sure the tech was up to par at that time so I've waited for technology to advance more. Tech hasn't advanced that much and they dont function the way I'd like but you work with what you got so. I have 2 Aura brand light strips and one luma strip. I'm trying to wrap them around my entertainment stand but the stand is made out of particleboard wood chips and the legs are some kind of polyurethane plastic their strong and semi hard bit the tips where you would them together tends to weaken to 11:43 break often when you move the stand anywhere or Gravity does the trick when it's sat in the same spot for a really long. So will these light strips melt any of the plastic legs if I let it touch them? I was wanting to wrap the light strips around each shelf but their too long and I think the ones I have are too cheap to even cut with out damage so what can I do? I have game consoles on on each shelf and my TV on top. I noticed that my PS4 air flow in the back was messing with the adhesive from the heat blowing off from the back,I have it ventilated well and the ps4 raised by 2" sitting on peg legs. I'd love to pick your brain on best options and not burn down the house send me a direct message or something so I can communicate better and I can give you visuals to see exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks. 😁

Thanks for the cool vid. Would anyone care to comment on a 220V IP67 strip in an aluminium channel?

Hello Modern Hobbyist, can you do a video on how to FIX (I'm sure that word will get your attention) a key on a piano keyboard that doesn't make any sound? (I have a Roland KR-177 Digital Piano, but any video would help.) Thank your and I love you videos.

Hey thanks for watching! Is it just a few keys that don't make sound or the entire keyboard? Also, just a disclaimer, I don't know much about keyboard pianos, but I did recently take mine apart after spilling soda on it...

@@ModernHobbyist The only key that doesn't work for me is the "B" directly below middle C. That's the only one. Thanks for responding to my comment. One of the many things I like about your channel. :)

@@somekid1668 thanks! That means a lot! After I spilled soda on my keyboard I took it apart and was able to clean off the contacts to make it work again. Wasn’t difficult to get apart or anything! You could hop on the discord server too if you have more questions or wanted faster chatting

@@ModernHobbyist My main issue is I can't get the contacts exposed in order to clean. As you probably know the piano I have is a mix between a piano and a keyboard. This make it hard to tear the piano apart. Thanks for the advice. :)
