I’m an hourglass blush STAN. They are the best Ive found. And the travel size is worth it, I use mine all them time, and not even close to finished it up. Ps. I have it in luminous flush, I highly recommend 😊
Hourglass came out with a new pallet it released yesterday one is blushes and highlight and the other is bronzer and finishing powders they look really pretty. I love hourglass powders and blushes .
The last couple of years, I went over board buying blushes of all kinds, mostly drugstore. And I got to a point where I was not liking any of them. Recently I got rid of all the blushes I didn't love, and I am very satisfied with the ones I kept. For me, too much of anything will only cause unnecessary indecision. And no matter the price point, they all fade. This is why I stopped buying high end blush years ago. The ones I currently own are just as good as any high end blush.
Clinique blushes to me are in the top. Love the Pansy Pop shade shown. Works for girls that are cool tone. I cannot believe you don't own a tarte powder blush. I think it is a great formula.
I always wear the Dior blush over whatever other blush, cream or powder, I wear and it gives a very nice pop of colour on my cheeks. If it’s a cream blush I wear under it, it actually sets it too. I just love it 😊
I absolutely adore the Hourglass blushes especially Mood Exposure ❤. It’s so nice to see Clinique’s cheek pops mentioned! I love that formula as well and agree they are definitely underrated!!
Buxom absolutely killed the formula on the wonderlust blushes. My all time favorite powder blush formula and my personal favorite shade Seychelles (I own all the colors lol). Thanks for being a channel of relaxation for me as I go through my medical residency training. More days than not I’m stressed out of mind but your videos provide me such relief. Amanda, stop! I have been searching for days for swatches of Hourglass Blushes, and then trying to decide what color to choose. It was between Sublime Flush and Mood Exposure and then I click on your video and BAM! So thank you for deciding for me! 😘
My favorite blushes are from Alamar cosmetics 😊 So smooth and such a beautiful glow. I really want to get the BlendBunny blush palettes, the colors look fantastic. Indie brands are where it’s at!
I love Mood Exposure as a blush but I'd also recommend it as a one shadow look eyeshadow! I use it all over the lid, blended into the crease and along the lower lash line and it looks so pretty.
Just wanted to mention here that this video was nice to watch, yes, but so useful. When I think about a blush I'd like to try, I come back here as a reference material. I can see if it is really different, if I "need" it or if it is close to those in my drawers. (MUBM creamy peach and Hourglass Mood exposure seem like a perfect pair for me). Wearing Mood Exposure today, it’s the only blush that seems to blend seamlessly on my pale rosacea skin. And I love the luminosity that it gives. I also have MAC Harmony, which is my go-to when I wear cool-toned colorful looks. It goes with anything! I just ordered Gingerly.
I have three of the emcosmetics blushes and i love venetian rose the most!! I have more of a light-medium warm undertoned skin and it brings so much romance to my makeup look 🥰 but it also does have some of that shimmer you probably dont like which might be the reason why you aren’t in love with it. Its not cheap either! But it lasts sooooooo long 😭
Ugh I decluttered my TF blush in explicit flush maybe I should try sun drunk? Super helpful video. The terracotta by persona is a great bronzer/blush for me!!
Do let us know about the new Dior shades! I have the hardest time messing up my Florasis embossing; it's SOOOO gorgeous. I've been considering that palette of theirs.
Ohhh as someone with a fair complexion who still can’t figure out what blushes would suit me, this was such a great video! I am itching to try mood exposure now, will definitely check out the mini size. I am so pleased to hear that you love Benefit Dallas too, it was the first “high end” makeup product I bought, at 14 years old on vacation in Paris with my own money in the huge Sephora there. I still love it and my heart sank when I realized it had been discontinued with no clear shade replacement! Are there by any chance any similar colors to it you have come across or have your eye on? hey girl. i was browsing on moira's website while watching this and saw that they have a new line of matte and shimmer liquid eyeshadows!! since the matte liquid eyeshadow from ulta is so your thing, i'd be curious to see your review on these before i buy

Love Dior blush. Can you try more colors? My skin is a bit ruddy, warm. I don't have rosacea, but skin is darkened by over exposure to the sun. I will spend more money on blush than mascara or bronzer.

Please give the EM Cosmetics powder blushes another chance. I own 3 of them in Magic Hour, Cherub(LE), & Baroque. They are in the top of my blush rotation so please give them another go maybe in a color other than Venetian Rose.
I love your declutters and the time you take to describe the textures! Could I ask: what would be the best way to apply the Clinique Cheeks pops? I have one in Black Honey (😉) but I’m not sure I’m getting enough payoff with my brush (it may be too big). As I’m mid-toned skin, I love the colour! (I also have to try your terracotta recommendations. I find it’s such a perfect colour for summer!)
I have several of the Clinique Cheek Pops and I’ve found the best way to apply them is with a denser brush! I prefer a smaller angled brush for mine, but because the powder is a hard gel texture, you’ll need a harder brush to pick up more color!

Amanda!! Would love to see a video on the new Dior blushes!! Re: TooFaced Cloud blushes - I have Golden Hour upland it’s surprisingly a long wearing blush!! I was not expecting it to perform so well but I’m so happy about it because it surpasses the performance of many of my other blushes without a cream blush underneath!

It seems in the last few years people are going wild with blush (me included) like it used to be lipsticks. All of a sudden everyone has a ton of blush. lol
Ok what am i doing wrong then? I have mood exposure and...1 other one from hourglass and i feel like i only get glitter from it. No pigment at all, just glitter. Help!
Swirl your blush over the entire pan to make sure you get enough of the pigmented powder. Because it’s swirled sometimes there’s more of the finishing powder rather than the pigmented powder on top and you have to run your finger over it to get to the pigmented powder and then the brush over it to get it all. I’ve had to do that for a few of them which wastes a bit of product, but there’s so much in the pan it doesn’t really matter. Good luck. Those are my favorite powder blushes for sure.
I use a Real Techniques Instapop cheek brush that’s like angled, and I swirl it in the pan and then like stamp it on. I find that works better than rubbing it on.
