I’m a life long kubota owner here after moving away from Ford then Case back in the early 90’s. Have never ever been disappointed from the dealer experiences to the machines themselves. I think in all the years the only thing we ever had an issue with was water in fuel obviously not the tractors fault. I have noticed though since relying more heavily on the dealer here recently in many purchases this year alone they tend to really stand up when I walk into the store and even text, call, and email when I need something but you shouldn’t have to spend tons of money to get that attention.

Almost identical tractor issues with a new 2016 75C I bought except my dealer is awesome people. By the time my 2 year warranty had expired it had been in their shop more than my farm after which my salesman made the remark that he was sure he could get Case to give me a extension on warranty but his words were " I don't think that's really gonna help you ". Then gave me the contact number directly to Case where I spent 5 months back and forth arguing with them till the best I got wad they offered me $500 over very top trade in value and they delivered me a 2019 model .

Chris, I hate that this happened to you. I had a similar experience with a brand new Ram, I did go the attorney route and it cost me $11,000 and 7 months of stress, headache, and hassle. I ended up selling the truck off before the legal system got me anywhere. The dealer has deeper pockets than most of us do and they absolutely will stall, roadblock, and do everything they can to run the customer out of money to keep fighting, especially when the customer is right.

I remember you had lots of trouble with your Ram, but I didn't realize it had gone that far. And your exactly right- the manufacturer has way deeper pockets than I do, so the best I can do is tell my story and hope it helps someone.

You're welcome. This situation was worse because the manufacturer didn't do a good job of standing behind the their product AND the dealer was not overly helpful either. Finding a good dealership to work with is the most important thing, I have found. They will support and help you the most- long before the manufacturer will. Good luck!!

I sold my Farmall 95 at my farm auction in 2019. Although it was a decent machine, I found out after the fact that it was built in Turkey. After I retired I bought a new Kubota M7060 and have never been disappointed. It was built in Georgia USA.

I did almost the exact same thing with a 18 2500hd dodge. It's a work truck and I had taken it to the shop, under warranty, 6 times in the first 3 months, each time it was in the shop for a week plus. The dealer messed around for months and I finally talked to my lawyer, it took about 4 weeks and I got a refund for the truck and 50% of my lost wages, under the lemon law provision. It did cost me about 10k with legal fees but I easily lost that amount without the truck. I did buy a Chevy and have been very happy. The thing I had learned about new equipment that is part of your livelihood is to get legal counsel as soon as they start messing around, it costs money but being without costs more in my experience, and nobody even a multi national company wants a legal dispute.

I commend you for sharing all the details of this fiasco, it must be hard to go back over all this. You went way above and beyond what a customer should be subjected to. I think someone else's comment is on the mark, seems like you are only assured of a quality product if you spend $100,000+ on a tractor. The Case IH JX95 (engine from Italy, chassis from Turkey) cab, 4X4 we bought in 2006 was fine while it was under warranty, 4 months after it was off warranty the seal on the transmission input shaft went out and took out the clutch. We paid the dealer to fix it, 10 months later it did the same thing. This along with a bunch of other problems. I asked the mechanic who came to pick it up about these tractors, he said the quality of them seemed pretty spotty; they had sold 4 other ones, two of them never had a problem and two of them were in the shop constantly. I don't know what the answer is. The answer for us was to sell the JX95 and buy a 1086.

Sorry to hear that you had that trouble. Nothing worse than scrimping and scraping to save up money to an equipment upgrade and then not be able to use the equipment because it's broke down and you're waiting for warranty or it's broke down and you can't afford to fix it this year. I am so glad that is Ziegler stands behind me when I deal with customers on issues like this. This is my day job to deal with your situation. Or part of it. One quick example a customer called with a question on a bill. Turns out we forgot to Bill him a few hundred dollars for something in 2018 so accounting sent the bill through. I emailed it back up the line saying wouldn't it have been better for us to just keep this mistake within our group and eat the $300 then looking like complete idiots to the customer and trying to recoup $300. They agreed and we credited them $300. I guarantee we will get that $300 back this summer and the customer is very appreciative. I have told all salesman in my area if I can help it not one machine gets delivered to the customer before I get a chance to drive it around the yard and do a quick little inspection. And then when the customer is ready to use the machine for the first time we set up an appointment and I go out ahead of time and we do some walk around and operational stuff and getting it ready so on their first day I can come back we can go to the field and everything works good.

Hello young man, I would not have been as patient with this as you. Personally, I would have gone straight to the top of CNH and not bothered with Customer Service. I have found it is better to send a letter to all the top director's of a company (I have had problems with banks and suppliers in the past and done this successfully) advising them of the issues and asking them to resolve them and not just pass the book down. In smaller cases, I have taken people to court myself using the Small Claims Court system we have here in the UK and won. The way to win is to keep all correspondence polite, factual, chronological in order and send all correspondence via recorded (IE tracked postage and signed for) mail. It is different for a commercial claim and of such as high value but I would still have a go if it was me. Though I do understand laws are different in the USA and Canada. Such a shame a brand like CNH want to treat people in such a bad way. All the best, Jon.

@farming4g
@farming4g 4 года назад
New tractors over the past decade always will have issues to get resolved; happened with our Massey and with the TS6.130. Since getting them resolved within the first year or two, they've been rock solid. In your case, I don't blame you for wanting to get rid of that Farmall especially since it developed the same issue again, and having similar issues with other models in that same series (quality control is horrendous the way it sounds). Back in the early 2000s when dad bought our current Allis 8785, it was a demo tractor, so it had some hours on it but got it at a reduced price to make it more affordable. Long story short, it had clutch issues (electronic stuff) where we couldn't even drive the tractor along with issues the loader had. Luckily, after several visits out to the farm, they took the tractor into the shop and thankfully gave us a similar tractor to use for the time being. They finally managed to fix the issue. However, with some other things with the Allis early on during the purchase and throughout the first year, and recently with some warranty work on the Massey several years ago, we will not have any dealings with that said dealership ever again. We got another dealership to step in (actually had a district rep sort things out luckily on the Challenger division side, the Massey district rep was non-existant), so now for anything AGCO related we've been going straight to that AGCO Challenger store instead, seem to be way more knowledgeable and just wanting to help as well (or even giving the Iowa dealership where I did buy the Massey directly from a call for any questions or parts as they were good to deal with for being 600 miles away to top it off LOL). Have similar stories with a few other dealerships on the New Holland side (both good and bad), but it really comes back down to which dealer will go out of their way to make things right. Including my dad, I kinda can turn into a bit of a "hardass" at times when working on purchases or selling things. If they can't handle it, I know not to deal with them, but the ones that do and all works out, in the end I'll joke with them. Pretty much thank them for "putting up with me" and I know who to come back to for possible future purchases; building rapport goes a long ways! Were once loyal Massey customers due to my grandpa, then were loyal to New Holland due to a good private dealership before they were closed down. Currently, even though I still prefer blue or red machines mostly, that doesn't mean that I will never buy a JD. I think the only brands I will bleed colors of is either Vermeer, Rowse, or MacDon; at least with them they are very quick to get things right. We've had terrible luck with CNH help as well in regards to the T7030 and my TS6.130... it came back around to "who you know." Luckily have a couple go-to guys that know what the heck they're doing in dealing with corporate.
@dehavenfamilyfarm
@dehavenfamilyfarm 4 года назад
It definitely seems like all the mom and pop places are disappearing. I had a very good new Holland and case dealer (two separate places) near me, and they have closed up. They were both places that knew their customers and would go out of their way to help customers out. It really is a shame they got pushed out, and I am left with more corporate style dealerships further away.
@farming4g
@farming4g 4 года назад
@@dehavenfamilyfarm I think that's one of the biggest mistakes CNH, Fiat, or whoever is in charge; allowing for bigger corporate dealerships to fizzle out the smaller ones. New holland was growing in our region a bit and was starting to finally see a decent mix of blue and green. Now it is starting to go back towards green again. At least can give John Deere props in that department with (I believe) they only allow a specific amount of dealerships under one name. Main issue with me going to any green machine has been due to their EGR emissions issues in their tractors and their repairs if something goes wrong; at least with AGCO and New Holland we've been able to fix things over the phone with a dealership or having a mechanic emailing service procedures to calibrating something or getting diagnostic info without much time being wasted waiting for "someone to plug in a laptop to fix it." Even some of the Deere guys up here are getting tired of it for the same issues over and over again with the engines. If you don't mind saying the price of the Farmall, I'm curious what the price range is on those models to what it compares to some higher HP series...

Kind of a odd thing that for all the people you had talked with seem to have a different story or excuse when logic suggest that these guys all knew what was going on. And I can see where it was a machine problem since it was not actually a CNH made and built product since most of everything under the Maxxum Range is LS based built on CNH specs and its been told to me by many other CNH employees that the smaller CNH tractors are built to sell on Price and nothing else. As for looking at other brands you have to really look as to who makes their own tractors which makes a big difference in how problems get fixed and solved . And coming from me I run large case tractors and combines and any of my Problems were Fixed very well and I had Engineers From the Plant going to bat for me when the dealer struggled. And how I got to the engineers was so easy and I was straight up honest and nice to them at the National Farm Machinery Show and within 3 days of our chat the issues were fixed. It also shows me that the companies treat the large tractors much different than the small utility's.

Sadly, too many people in the line, don't know what is going on. A misunderstanding here and there changes everything! New tractors are just like new cars, there is no or very little parts support, because parts manufacturing is only making enough to support production of the car... In this case, tractor. Even happens to older equipment, Went almost a full year of without our 1968 Massey 135.. power steering pump went out... Product no longer supported by the manufacturer. Only available aftermarket. Bunch of 💩 made in China or India, somewhere in that corner of the world. Three new pumps, had to wait for each one to be made!!! Last one was finally working properly!!!! Not saying someone didn't drop the ball for you!! But I know first hand, lots of things can happen behind the scenes, some good, some bad. Dealer inventory.. LOL, we've thought we had equipment bought before, multiple store dealership.. they don't always mark things sold..... Someone goes through once a month and updates the list. Bunch of 💩💩 💩!!! But that's how they do it 😪 We always have made sure they tag anything we have bought, at least then, if someone else is looking, they know 😎 I rattled too much 🤣😂 Thanks for the rundown Chris!!!!!

The old timers that work there, are just riding it out until retirement 😪 So, for us, no JD... The dealer gave us a run around didn't want to fix the tractor and Deere its self came to farm looked at the tractor then 11 months go by tractor still sitting in shed not moveable and no answers and we had to get lawyers involved and after 3 years of fighting we only got back like half of our purchase price. We no longer deal with deere in any way and our farm was all deere we have sold off most all of our deere equipment and tractors keeping just the old 4020 my grandfather bought new. We went with Kubota and Fendt and they have been great so far the dealer calls every now and then just to check up and they send a guy every week for any parts we may need even if we don't buy anything they stop every week to see if we need anything and their service has been top grade and very professional. We have never thought about leaving deere we been with them for generations and spent millions over the years with them and then we buy the most expensive tractor we have ever bought from them and they screwed us on it the tractor was dragged off the farm with 125 hours on it and the plastic still on everthing in cab after it sat in the shed for 3 years while we fought with deere to fix it or make it right. We now have a Gleaner Combine and we think it way outperforms the deere we had and it's been way cheaper on operating costs

Sounds like they made more than good on the deal to me if they gave you a new tractor that is a bigger model. If the loaner leaks oil run it till it stops.
@dehavenfamilyfarm

They left me without a usable tractor for months. Meanwhile I was still having to make payments on a broken one. All totaled it cost me $20,000 of lost revenue for the year. The larger tractor they gave me had a warning light on two minutes after they delivered it to me, but I was able to get rid of it quickly and since it was new and a larger size, I was able recoup $5000 of the $20k I lost. There is so much more to this story.....

The issue with the Case Farmall series and the New Holland Workmaster series is that they are made in I think in India and shipped over hear. It is generally known that these tractors are hit or miss in terms of quality. The only tractors I would buy from NH and Case would be the one’s built here in the US. We bought a T6 after owning a Workmaster and the quality between the two is a staggering difference. I don’t know what Case dealer you went through whether it was Monroe, Empire or White’s which is the dealers I know that are around us that are Case dealers, with White’s being the worse of the bunch due to their owner being extremely scrooge like.

Your experience sucks. I have a reputable Kubota dealer I used when I bought my tractor. I would take issue with something you said about not missing payments. If you finance a piece of equipment, car or whatever, problems you experience with the item are irrelevant. If you had not continued making payments, you would have had it repo'd as well which would have affected your ability to finance any other piece of equipment. Again, I hate you had to go through all this. But with experience in the finance side of things, my comment needed to be made. Good luck with your future endeavors. I do enjoy your videos.

I spoke with a lawyer (which I explain in a video after this one) and was told that it could easily cost me $20,000 in fee's in CNH drags things out, with no guarantee that I would win the case against them. Not a gamble I was willing to take. Not sure if any lemon law would help because I live in PA and the tractor was purchased in NY- which made matters even more complicated.

Maybe since then they have corrected some of these issues, but my experience was terrible.
