I know this video is old and I know you finally got your opportunity (congrats man) but if this comment even helps one person, it was worth my time. The reality in the basketball world is that all the thousands of guys that are 6’-6’3 are in the most competitive bracket in the world. A lot of guys under 6’4 won’t make it because they don’t stand out and don’t look the part of “Pro Basketball Player”. If you are under 6’4 you have to be the absolute best of the best in every aspect of the game. Some of the bigger guys have more leeway and are given more opportunity but at the end of the day, no matter your situation, you just have to work your ass of and be the best you can be.
Just enjoy your journey man the only difference is guys make more money than others playing this game. It’s not that deep. Don’t get so caught up with the destination. At the end of the day just like the overseas combines the professional organizations are cash grabs to. It’s all a hustle. Don’t let the no’s kill your spirit. It’s just you the ball and a hoop that’s it. Don’t compare yourself to others
I suggest the Australian version of the G-League, called NBL1. Looking (only) at your 2023 stats in Georgia, you’re an average to above average 3 point shooter - maybe different circumstances might be able to improve them to a level where better leagues take notice.
I remember going to a dleauge and after the tryouts the coach was talking to everyone but he was talking as if he was only talking to 1 guy and he said the talent in here is tremendous it's so much talent in here you can be like allen iverson off the streets so I started looking around like who plays like iverson then I said to myself I'm the only 1 in here that models his game after allen iverson and kobe jordan so I haven't been back since just been trying to perfect my craft cause I'm going back this year 2023 looking for a jordan reaction.
