I know it’s not good to conspire with a lecturer in anyway to pass and exam, but I could have understood if Esther just went to sleep with the lecturers for her pass the exam for her own self, but sleeping with a lecturer just to make your friend fail her exam is completely insane and not acceptable. There is a problem with the academic system in Nigeria. I have lectured in South Africa and the lecturers are not all in all! In fact, you mark as a lecturer, another moderator reviews all the scripts to check the consistency of your marking, and then the HOD approves the examiner and moderator's report. Then it goes to the exam's department where each script is checked for any error in marks addition and allocation before they (exam departments) enter the marks on the ITS system. Even at that, the student can still apply for a remark! In that case, another external examiner from another school marks. A lot needs to be done with our crumbling system.
