WATCHING ENCANTO FOR THE FIRST TIME REACTION/ COMMENTARY | DISNEY 

Thought we'd try something different although this was recored a while ago, thought it would be nice to mix things up a bit, hope you guys enjoy !!!

I love how accurate was Monica’s guess about Mirabel helping every family member to be who they are and see that they are more than just their gifts

Was hoping that, by now, I could watch the ending parts without crying. Still can't, and it's usually Bruno's "You're the real gift, kid" that gets to me every damn time. When I first heard Surface Pressure, I had such a visceral, immediate reaction to the lyrics. First my jaw dropped at the low tone they allowed Luiza to have vocally, it was unheard of with any female voice in any Disney song, but then the lyrics hit and I just. Sobbed. A few people have said that the sibling in this movie you relate to most was your childhood trauma. Being the eldest, I definitely related to the build up inside Luiza and how she was desperately begging her family for help without actually asking, hoping them to notice she's on the edge, but they're all so deep in their bubbles, trying to 'patch' their own issues that they just CAN'T see it; not until Mirabel.

Luisa’s song actually has a very sad lyrics tho, she feels like she’s the pillar of the family and she’s worthless if she couldn’t handle all the weights, the tasks, no one even came up to her and ask if she’s okay, she needs that hug. Isabela’s song on the other hand is basically the same, she’s the perfect one, it has to be. You know, getting married, have kids, perfect hair, graceful, she couldn’t even say no. Maybe that’s why she put it all on mirabel. Bruno’s story is just sad, especially when the plate scene, broke my heart. And this is the perfect example of a family trauma/generational trauma. It only passes them to the younger generation. Abuela was wrong but i could understand why she did what she did. Ain’t no way i’m gonna survive watching my husband got killed in front of me while carrying 3 newborn babies with no other families. When she looked down on her babies was just heartbreaking. This is why i need therapy, it’s relatable✌🏼

Oh man even when you guys don't do marvel, you pull up with something else incredible. I already know this reaction is gonna be great, for this movie is amazing :D

I'm from Colombia and this movie is so accurate! Clothes, animals, architecture, food, even some songs represents what is Colombia. Disney also included a sad fact about Colombia's history: abuela's story is the story of thousands of colombians who had to leave their villages because of violence. Things are getting better now, but still there's so much to do.

"Her gratitude is so powerful!" I've never heard it said quite so eloquently but yes!! 🙏💕 This is one of my favourite characteristics of Mirabel! She appreciates the fundamental things I have the luxury of taking for granted, such as a roof over my head and my family around me. So many are living unhoused and/or isolated in the world 🥺😔 I want to learn to be more like Mirabel. To be truly thankful for what I have! 😊🙏🥰

Abuela told everyone to get in the picture. Mirabel chose not to. Abuela shapes Isabella’s life because they looked the same, and so did their spouses, so she wanted Isabella’s life to be perfect and unlike hers.

I’ve just found your channel recently and have already watched most of your MCU content, but I think this my favorite reaction. Great job! Don’t edit out the crying bits! There is something really special about a movie that can pull at our emotions, seeing you cry just makes you more relatable.

This is my absolute favorite movie. There are a lot of elders that have had horrible experiences we couldn't even dream of in our comfortable, modern world. That doesn't excuse Abuela blaming Mirabel for everything but damn, she had it rough. Bruno too who lived inside the walls of the house for 10 years.

The songs in this movie are amazing. I loved each song and their message throughout the movie. It's sad though that you cut out the Abuela's backstory, which is part of Colombia's history.

She’ll take Abuela’s role, keeping the candle, and helping everyone to develop their gifts. During this film, Casita only ever directly responds to Abuela and Mirabel. 🥰 For this, I am subscribing!

Abuela or rather generational trauma was the villian of this. Her expectations on the family on her children and grandchildren were suffocating them

This movie really is something special.

Mirabel is used to not being in pictures. When she looks up at the wall of pictures she's not in any of them. The second they thought she didn't get a gift she was kinda excommunicated from the family. When in reality she was given the gift of being the next matriarch.

I think it was kind of obvious that Mirabel was going to be the next leader,(or like grandma was a battery, and Mirabel was the next battery)

Just like Mirabel, I once chose not to be part of a family picture. My spouse and I had only been dating for a few months and his family was doing a group photo for their church directory. His sister invited me to be in it, but I was self-conscious and he (as an introvert) had not asked me himself to join, so I just watched as they all got their picture taken. We've been together since 2004 and after having two kids together (and losing my own birth family to death and estrangement) their family is very much my own and has been for a long time. That church became my church a few short months after that picture was taken. I was baptised there, as were my kids. We had our wedding there and I even worked as the secretary for a time. Every time I flipped open that directory, I saw my face was not there. This moment made me relate to Mirabel so much! I will always regret not having the confidence or courage to claim my place in that photo. 💕

Yall skipped over the most important song that Abuelo Pedro sings. If you put on the english subtitles it tells a story. It makes me ugly cry every single time.
