Loved hearing your thoughts on Only Yesterday!! I definitely understand where you’re coming from, her family is so cruel 🥲 also this video is such a fun way to watch movies you haven’t seen before! Loved it Liv 💞🥰
I loved this video and haven’t seen anyone else do this before. I love Letterboxd. I feel that I have been burnt out with watching film and it is now a chore so watching you talk about films with so much passion is awesome. My top 4 on Letterboxd are Sunset Boulevard, All About Eve, Double Indemnity, and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane 🎬
I’ve been feeling the same! I haven’t been reading or watching many movies, so that’s why this took me a pretty long time to compile together, but now I feel like my slump is breaking for both movies and books!
@@StoriesForCoffee I guess a big part of it could be that I got my undergrad in Cinema and Media Arts and watched so many movies, which was great but now, my attention span is crap. I actually feel that I am gravitating more towards books. Libby and my Kindle has been my best friend this year. I hope I break out of my movie slump soon.
Loved this video!! A very fresh idea to find new movies. 👏🏻 My top four on Letterboxd is Titanic, The Neverending Story, Burning and Your Name. I’m so glad you watched Whisper of the Heart, that is my most favourite Ghibli movie 🥹❤
🎬 I definitely grew up loving The Last Unicorn 🦄 I can't pick favorites. I always say Casablanca but I know you've seen that. Wings of Desire is one I recommend.
👏 Since you were on a japanese movie sprint, I'd like to add "Tampopo" to the recommendations. It's about a woman that gets help from two truck drivers to improve her ramen shop. A precursor to legends and lattes, maybe? It's really beautiful and poetic without being pretentious or inintelligible. It's from 1985 so it may be a bit hard to find.
