My all time favorite Paris-ism is in this episode. “No it’s national baptism day, tie your tubes you idiot” nothing describes her better than that single line.
And Janet exercises all the time, unlike Rory, who never exercises and eats, if not a lot (all their megafeasts have a lot of leftovers), at least unhealthily.
I have a theory about The Shins: this was around the time The OC started, and I feel like they were trying to compete by featuring a currently popular band. Gg handled the Bangles performance in season 1 much better though- the show moved the plot along, and it wasn't soooo long.
never thought of that but it's a good point. Wasn't One Tree Hill also on around the same time? Both OTH and the OC were big on music and featuring various bands on their shows.
Funny enough I just finished watching Veronica Mars Season 4 and the Sea Sprite is the same motel that is central to plot and a 💣 goes off in during spring break. Good thing Rory and Paris weren’t there for that!
LOL! I definitely heard "Cause Paris is the thief of joy"😂😂😂😂😂😂☠☠☠☠Also, no. You NEVER asks what's in the jungle juice, because the answer is EVERYTHING
Yesss!!! This is one of my favesss!! THANK YOU FOR SAYING RORY'S "LOVE INTEREST" SOUNDED LIKE JESS. I THINK THAT EVERY TIME I HEAR HIS VOICE BUT HAVENT HAD ANYONE TO SAY THAT TOO. SO THANK YOU.🙏
Shriner hats. Basically fezzes. The Shriners are a men's organization who make money for charity (like children's hospitals). They also do stuff like riding in little cars at parades. At least, that's what they used to do. I think they had a women's auxiliary too. Maybe they just have women in the main group now, but I'd have to google.
Woah, I've never been this early...this feels like a huge responsibility. I'm not a huge fan of this episode. I found it kind of dull. Like there was potential to do something fun and out there with this premise and maybe shake something up for Rory, but they don't take it nearly far enough. Not like Season 5 episode 8 did...😉 Also, I've always heard it called Freshman 15. Oh! Digger is the cranky teacher from Malcolm in the Middle!
Fantastic episode choice. Definitely one pf my top hits! I saw someoneention Veronica Mars, have you reacted to that show yet? That would be a good one! More Gilmore Episode recommends. 3.17 Tale of Poes and Fire 4.21 Last week Fights, this week Tights
Ah I forgot this episode, it's nice to have a little bit of a twist in the story, for Rory to get to know some boundaries without taking it way too far..
I'm kinda obsessed with this show, I watched all your videos about it in 2 days.. so I think I should leave my recommendation. You should watch season 6 episode 8 "Let Me Heat Your Balalaikas Ringing Out", known as the most iconic Gilmore Girls episode
I had an epiphany about why I enjoy your Gilmore Girls videos so much, and maybe this is true for other fans. It’s the fantasy of watching my favorite show with a boyfriend who actually enjoys it and engages. When you laugh, I laugh like I’m hearing the joke for the first time. It’s an amazing experience.
I've gotten a similar comment before, except theirs was more about showing something to a friend who doesn't care. I'm glad your perspective is a lot more positive. Thank you, I'm happy you feel this way.
You guessed property damage, but, forgot dignity damage. To much flippant references to Burma, shameful writing, but thankyou for being entertaining as per usual.
Idc how naive or unprepared or uninterested Rory was, she would not wear that boring ass swimsuit. I saw how she dressed for Jess in Season 3 opener. Okay thats probably enough comments from me 😅
@@Ginny-ju4qg ahaha no, I know, the only examples I can think of is Logan saying "if you thought climbing was hard" and Lorelai's Umlauts nickname but those are pretty tame in comparison? I feel like the banana one would be a hard one for a parent to explain to their tween child lol.
