I can never figure out what Skylar is asking Will to do. Marry her in Cali? Just come to Cali for a vacation? Come with her to live with her while she goes to med school? Exactly what is she asking him to do? What is the context of Will going to Cali? Actually, Will is legally unable to go with her at the point she asked. He is on probation until Robin releases him and he finds some sort of job. He COULD have told her that much. After all he was prepared to tell her about jail on his first phone call. But what was the context of him going to Cali?
@cwdkidman2266
@cwdkidman2266 Месяц назад
Was she asking Will to marry her? I'm confused. That's a really big thing she's asking... How long were they together at that point? 2,weeks? He legally was still on probation. He legally could not leave the city. Sean had not released him yet. Why did he not mention that? Why does no one mention that? HE COULD NOT LEAVE WITH SKYLAR LEGALLY. AND and...that was a huge thing Skylar was asking. Leave all your friends and work for ... For forever? For someone you just met 2 or 3 weeks before? A month? Was she asking him to come out temporarily? Just to see if they liked it? Why not wait until September to go to California and spend more time with Will to see if they had a future? What went on?

"What Dreams May Come" is such an underrated movie. It's my favorite movie of his, honestly. It's Incredible! I miss Robin so much! Such a unmatchable talent. And a sad and terrible loss. Matt Damon was in a movie " Courage Under Fire" with Meg Ryan, Denzel Washington, Scott Glenn, Lou Diamond Phillips, Sean Astin. It's definitely a must see movie!

"Do you like apples?" "Yeah." "Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?" Fun Fact: The lines in the scene when Sean talks about his late wife's farting antics were ad-libbed by Robin Williams. That is why Matt Damon was laughing so hard. If you watch the scene carefully, you can notice the camera shaking a bit, possibly due to the cameraman laughing as well. Five Year Dream Fact: The very first day of the shooting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck started crying out of happiness, because it was a scene between Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgård, accomplished actors, doing Damon's and Affleck's scene verbatim, and they had waited so long (five years) for this to happen. MIT Connection Fact: Matt Damon, a former Harvard student, originally intended to make the title character a physics prodigy. He discussed his idea with Sheldon L. Glashow, a Nobel laureate in physics and, at the time, a Harvard professor. Glashow told him that the premise did not ring true to him: he suggested that the main character be a math prodigy instead. He referred Damon to his brother-in-law, Daniel Kleitman, a professor of mathematics at MIT, who provided advice on the story. Both Glashow and Kleitman are thanked in the credits.

When Robin passed away the bench in Boston Public Garden became a huge memorial and to this day is a very popular photo spot. Anytime you spend the time for a GWH reaction... you wait for it... will it have the impact or will it miss in any direction at all... the Robin Williams' monologue? In this reaction, Kelsea's total silence, then head nod, and finally her "Wow!" made the grade! Even better, Kelsea fully appreciated Matt Damon's monologue, then Ben Aflack's monologue and cried at "It's not your fault." I have a list of 250 movies and my list has the #7 reserved for this most wonderful film classic. I love 'Good Will Hunting,' and I'd say Kelsea does too. I predict Kelsea comes away from DPS with the same appreciation for Robin's performance as she did here.

I have to say, he doesn't take what he has for granted in my humble opinion. The dude reads crazy amounts of books, including psychology books (including his therapists book), classics, organic chemistry, etc. Going out of your way to consume all that stuff from public libraries nonetheless (because you know he isn't buying those books) is the opposite of wasting his mind or taking it for granted. He is nurturing it in some regards. Also, in the scene where Sean asks Will the rhetorical question of what he wants to do? If he already knows he doesn't know what he wants, what the hell is the point of of him goading him like that? It's really hard to find a passion in life, even when you're not a genius, so I personally disagree with Sean's take in this scene. He seems to act more like his MIT professor buddy in this scene.

Damon doesnt get credit enough for making Will unlikeable at points and very defensive. It comes off onscreen.as being a jerk until the end when you see the depths of his abuse and by then it might be too late. You understand though and i hope fhe damage had not been done. It is tough to rewatch some of those scenes because you wanna yell about his abuse to other people. But Damon and Affleck kept the script focused on how good other people were and how thick-skinned Will was. But i think they dropped the ball on the professor. He's not a therapist and wants to help Will like we do: as long as he doesnt act like jerk. Which means he is more the proxi for the audience than Robin, who deals with him professionally. It is his job to understand or try to. In which scenario is the professor more selfish: 1. He keeps exploring how deep Will's abilities go, sorta secretly, until Sean says he is released, which means the professor gets the credit maybe for their work so Will is kinda protected and cushioned from scrutiny, like from the press. OR 2. Seeing that Will is already at a level he cannot comprehend so he acts like the rest of us and yells ASSHOLE at Will for being a dick abiut not wanting to help the world be a better place and preferring to get drunk every night rather than for example curing cancer or something. Because Will's brain is GENERAL GENIUS like he showed with history in that bar. What is the better scenario for the professor? And Will's friends protect him because he doesnt ask them to. They know his story and the abuse and they know he doesnt use that for sympathy. His friends have families but his family is them and they know it so they treat him like family. Complex movie that doesnt always make it easy on us.

Oh ya.... finally a movie written by men. And not spun into some stupid political correctness. All women should watch this movie. It truly is an insight into how men think and feel. Now let's look at the money when a good movie is made: The film received positive reviews from critics and grossed over $225 million during its theatrical run against a $10 million budget. Now let's take a hard look at the movie; "Joker". Joker was a monumental success, both on the critical and commercial front. Apart from bagging a masterpiece tag, the film made $1.07 billion at the global box office, as per Box Office Mojo. Made at a cost of $55 million, the thriller yield some crazy profits for all those involved.Aug 14, 2020 And it was not released in China. And it's still hit those numbers. If you build it right, they will come. The numbers don't lie.
