I still love the “I love you!” *is pointing a gun at her* and her “dude!” It always makes me chuckle like my dude saying I love you while pointing a gun at her isn’t exactly helping you lol
I was actually in the live audience for the film! You can see me getting zoomed in on towards the start of Candy Store (among other moments), this is probably my favourite cast for this show (and I've seen it 16 times, so I've seen a LOT of different casts haha)
Oh my gosh that is amazing!!!! I really wanna see it live someday but definitely a lil bummed I didn’t see this specific cast live.🥲 I know the other casts will be amazing too tho.
I had never been a huge fan of the film but the musical did a phenomenal job of staying faithful to the material (so very much dialogue kept) and yet developing the characters so damn well. JD isn’t a pure psycho and it’s easy to see why Veronica loves him. He even makes a concerted effort to change for her but it is, as she says, too late, he’s too messed up. Even the mean characters have some level of depth, however small, as we can see in Kurt in the opening number wondering why he acts so horribly to everyone. They really did an amazing job and this has become one of my favorite musicals.
I "liked" JD in the movie but at times he was a little scary, plus the movie being so random didn't give me any reason to think more about the character BUT the musical almost made me fall in love with JD. In the play they gave him much more context and emotions that were not present in the movie, Simon as JD is simply beautiful and his voice is also beautiful.
@@samanthaarts Me neither. The movie is confusing and random but the musical definitely gave it everything the movie doesn't have. Let's say that the movie is the idea and the musical is the execution of that idea ahshshs
@@Evasyoutube yes! Definitely enjoyed the characters and the way they were portrayed by the actors. It helped me form more of an understanding about the movie, and the characters!
@@samanthaarts The movie has some sort of Alice in Wonderland feel to me. Since Veronica gets stuck around JD's finger and then soon gets 'lost' in all the so called suicides. So when it comes to Heather Dukes dreamt funeral she knows what would happen. Idk, I've been thinking about this point a lot but I need to explain it better haha.
You “veronica your being so stupid rn” Me: 🥲 My friends:your just like veronica🤦🏻♀🤦🏻♀🤦🏻♀you’d fall for a pyscho🤦🏻♀🤦🏻♀🤦🏻♀ And if i’m being honest i love heathers so much it’s my favorite musical
They’re not particularly wrong- this is the west end version, i think you might be referring to the off broadway version with barett which most people like a lot better lol. Sadly, the broadway version isn’t allowed to be preformed from what I know of, so these are right and technically the “official” ig, just not the most popular lol I definitely prefer off broadway though
