Great video! Properly gave our derby the just coverage it deserves. Just an addition to the celebrations, the player at 8:08 is called Eskil Edh and is a local player who has played in Lillestrøm his entire life. A proper fan who stood with us just as a regular fan only a few seasons and chanted the same songs. A player who truly understands the duties of his role, tearing up every time he hears his chant. 💛🖤
The same goes for our goalkeeper Mats. Also started out as a fan, and then progressing as a player from our youth department to the senior team. And also the National Under 21 team
Gave me goosebumps this f the p, I support Barnsley but hopnt I was Norwegian that atmosphere and the player's with the fan's no where else on this earth is going to see that Passion and togerness l
I have to agree with the replies here. And, I think this kind of video is better received from those fans who only watch their team on Sky and haven’t experienced Millwall/West Ham and the like. Don’t get me wrong, Euro videos are always interesting and must be a great experience for creators, it’s just the whole atmosphere aspect will excite some more than others.
Fantastic! I was in the yellow corner and everything that happened still hasn't dawned on me. Felt amazing reliving it through this video, thanks for doing it. I could mention that the guy who did the worm (?) came to the pub after the match and did shots with some fans :D (The sporting director was there as well. When we won the semi final in the cup last Wednesday, the coaches were there drinking with us. Gotta love this club.)
I broke down in tears when I saw the fans chanting and jumping. Giving it their all for their team and having the time of their life. And the players being so involved with the fans. So envious, and so inspiring.
Brilliant. Love this. I was thinking the same thing this past weekend. Our players, managers and owners (Ipswich) were out on the town celebrating our promotion with the fans until the early hours of Sunday morning. It makes all the difference in the world having that connection.
Another Ipswich fan here; what happened before and after the Exeter match was incredible. It was like a purge of the Marcus Evans years. The club has rediscovered its roots.
Pegg mate, i absolutely mean this: this was probably your best video. I loved the Napoli vid, i loved the WC final vid, and i love all of your non-Pl content, bur your message at the end of this is WHY the game is so important to us all. Moreso as suppoeters, but as being of the community. Cheers, pal. Keep on!
Seen some people suggesting going to a Brann game in Bergen. This season is going to be wild, sold out stadiums for the first time in over 15 years, Norwegian football is back!
Wow I'm in awe of this club and these fans. I went to watch St. Pauli vs Holstein Kiel in Hamburg last November and the atmosphere was fantastic but this looked like another level.
@@Dr_Dengrot as you may already know many of the Lillestrom lads got a friendship with bajen,or hammarby as they are called, I went to a few games in the mid 90s with bajen.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for travelling to Norway and allowing people from around the world to watch it. Its the closest contested derby in Europe maybe the world and the fans and the rivalry is intense. Your my new hero
Brilliant! I was there in the away stand last night, and we simply LOST IT when we scored 3-4 in the 96th minute after trailing 3-1 earlier in the game. Just mental!
Just checked transfer market and 99% of those players are from the area and came through the youth ranks there. Lilestrom and norwegen through and through. Great passion. Great vlog too
My local club Incheon United have a similar level of fan engagement. After the match has ended the players, manager, assistants and coaching staff will line up and bow in front of every single stand to pay respect to the supporters. And all the Incheon supporters stay for it. It's great to see.
This has to be one of the best football videocasts in the world. StuntPegg you rules with humorous comments and fantastic engagement 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Lillestrøm welcomes you back on Åråsen (the home stadium)! 🎉
Amazing work, Pegg. I think your channel will only go one way keeping this passionated work going. I love how you carry yourself with compassion and understandment for the game, the different clubs and nations, but especially the fans. Really shows when Lillestrøm scores a last second goal, sitting with Vålerenga fans and applying compassion for what they must be feeling instead of going with the excitement of a last second winner. Well well done!
This is a really lovely comment to read, and nice to see you notice little things like that. I think it’s so important to have compassion in this world, it’s lovely to be curious but always be respectful and kind. We need more people like yourself!
Fantastic video showing the insides of European Football. The support in Northern European countries shows nothing but absolute passion and belief in their clubs. Atmosphere where all have the 'Ultra' mindset must be nothing short of electric! Scottish clubs could take note of that post-game fan engagement Lillestrom - similar size with fans just as passionate? Would love to see that culture in Scotland and rest of the UK.
@@sindresindre5342 Well, no. Did you hear about 16th of may? And the opposite of this game (in Lillestrøm). And Rosenborg -Molde? And Vålerenga-Brann?
I love your videos from other countries, especially places like Norway or Sweden where the league football is not really known outside of the country :) Everyone who makes these kind of videos normally only visits the big games of the big leagues, but you really shine light on the spots that deserve it ❤ Greetings from a supporter of a 2nd division german football team (Hannover 96), I would love a video about the 2nd or 3rd divison of german football.
Get you missus with your 200k subscribers! 😀😎🥳 THE BEST grassroots footy fan channel hands down, no bollocks, no glitz or glamour, just straight content showing the ups and downs of life as a footy fan. Love it 🙂
This was absolutely magical. I'm so glad I was there, and so glad you were too! What a treat to get to see all of it again from your perspective! You've got yourself a fan, a subscriber, and as many likes as I can offer. Ms. Pegg: thank you!
Great video. You understand the passion we have for our local teams here in Norway: And as we say: Lillestrom SK is the only football club in Norway with its own town ;)
Fantastic vlog. What a atmosphere and some touching scenes with true and strong passion from Lillestrom sk fans!! Gotta love this in these modern football times.
Even though I am a Vålerenga fan and we lost this game, I still find it amazing. Sure, its sad that we lost, but everything the players on both teams pulled off was insane and that is nothing to brush off and deny just because you are salty about a loss.
Yess loving the regular content I'm a recent subscriber came across one of your video's watched it then ended up binge watching every other video you have a real talent for this and the passion you have is shown amazing stuff ❤
Another brilliant vlog Nieve. Glad you mentioned Pyros as i love to see them at Anfield as well as the flags on the kop. The FA Cup semi final last year v City at Wembley was a sight to behold in our end. I bet Naples on Sunday will be Pyro central and then some.
My club (Lillestøm SK) The connection with the players and fans can be seen in every game. we never stop sing for ourn players even if we are 4-0 down. Forza. Welcome to our home stadium next :). we love this club so much. Hope you had a blast watching this game!
That celebration with players and fans was awesome. And I’m from Argentina. So I’ve seen some! Lady, i really really really enjoy your videos. Thank you!
Thanks for making the vlog about this game. It was absolutely insane. I was in the middle of the away crowd with my two kids. Today we are all out of our voices😅 Welcome to Åråsen, Lillestrøms stadium next time👍👍
Well done to you. Making these journalistic vlogs and travelling (what I assume to be alone). Unfortunately, once you get a taste of that kind of freedom and adventure, it's difficult to go back to the normal stuff! Great video.
I do think in England we have fell into a trap a thinking we are the most passionate football fans in the world. In reality all football fans are as passionate as each other. Our clubs could learn so much from this video. Perhaps it would translate to more success on the pitch at international level.
amazing video, media doesnt give enough credit to what the sport means other leagues, love seeing fans from all over giving their love of the game to the world
Thank you for coming to Norway and joining us in the greatest derby we have! I loved your enthusiasm for our fan culture, and the connection between club and fans. Also really happy that you took an extra loving to my club, and with a crack in your voice expressed how you love them. Any time you want, you are welcome to come back and join us in the stands for a real close encounter with the action. Forza Lillestrøm!
Really like the quality insight you gave into the atmosphere up close in this game. The team's relationship with the fans in top leagues outside of England really is quite a stark contrast.
Superb video once again Nieve. Totally agree that some clubs in the UK ignore their fans. They appear to forget who pays their incredibly, in some cases, obscene wages. Thanks again Nieve. Take care and stay safe on your travels.
I used to do what you are doing now, apart from the video stuff, I used to travel around the grounds, take pics, meet the fans etc, there was no social media back then, I loved it, am from Liverpool but I loved going up to Scotland to watch the games and going over to Holland,Germany,France etc etc, happy days, you have a great channel btw Pegg xxx
Even if I'm no fan of either teams, this was a really great documentary of a one of a kind match between maybe the two biggest rivals in Norwegian football. I doubt you'll find such a great atmosphere in any other game, but you might try Brann against Rosenborg in Bergen next time.
So well said at the end about the responsibility these players carry. We give so much to just be a face in the stand singing our hearts out! Keep up the dope content. New fan here. Came from the recent away days vid!
IM STOKED that you where there! I´ve been following your channel and cant belive you came to norway! Im a lifelong LSK-fan. If you ever want to visit Lillestrøm, send me a message, I´ll be your guide! Thank you for visiting norwegian football! FORZA FUGLA!
WOW i did not expect anyone to visit norway for a match! super cool that you do and i appreciate your channel a lot. norway has been in steady rise with it league, we may not have better ultra displays as sweden does but the league is a bit exciting and my very own bodø glimt took europe by storm not too long ago.
Wow....that was absolutely fantastic. The passion was just extraordinary. Oh how I wish I was born in Scandinavia!!.....have you ever thought of going to Greece and catching one of the local derbies there. The fans border on maniacal
The players and away fans at the end was amazing. I remember when i was 11 and watched wales v Poland in 2002 cardiff and the polish fans at full time was something else. Ill never forget that amazing scences.
It really is great to see you pop up on my subs list again putting out excellent content. I wish you the best and hope your Bolton does well in the Playoffs and you have a amazing day at Wembley and leave with a promotion. Cheers from across the pond in Boston
Wow, amazing. As LSK-fan it's weird seeing this on video such as this. I had shivers down my spine and that has nothing to do with that particular match or result. I had no idea we were this powerful. Thanks!
Wauw. From The Netherlands a big thank you for your video’s and the spot on comments. In a week were the Leeds players ignored a little boy and then this. In the Netherlands was the cupfinale and the players behaved like toddlers. PSV and AJax. It was a disgrace and it was all over the media. So this was an energy boost and THE EXAMPLE of how it should be done when you are fortunate to be a professional football player. I guess that is why Wrexham is such a success. The fun start in England in the championship and gets better and better in leagues one and two and for sure in the national.
@@stuntpeggnieve Try St Pauli in Hamburg. Do a bit of research into the club first to find out what the club are about and who and what they represent and you'll instantly become a fan. They have a number of fan clubs here in the UK, even one in Manchester.
Loving your videos from Scandinavia so far. Really enjoyed how the players and fans interacted at the end. The only club that does anything like that in the uK is BRENTFORD, Thomas Frank and the players do a lap of honour while the fans dance and sing to them. Check it out.
I'm from Norway, and Norwegian football are on its way back up. Gotta love these rivalries. Lillestrøm are in the cup final. They will make a wild show I think:)
Please come back for the next Derby of the season. 22 oct in Lillestrøm. Come to the pub Martins before the game. You will love it. Its even better then this Derby. Lillestrøm is on fire everytime Vålerenga comes to Åråsen.
My son and I like Bodø/Glimt and have managed to watch them at Celtic, PSV Eindhoven and Arsenal. Eindhoven trip was for his 21st birthday and the many Norwegian people we met there were amazed we'd driven all the way from the north of England to the Netherlands to support their team. Prior to Arsenal game, we were interviewed about the trip by a Norwegian journalist and an article was published in a local paper in Northern Norway. Was all pretty surreal, to be honest. We hope to get the chance to visit Bodø at some point to watch them play in their home environment.
Lilesström fanı zorla maçı yendirmiş gibi hissettim. Muhteşem bir maç hayatımdaki en keyif aldığım maçlardan birisi de bu maç oldu. Lilesström I love you 🎉❤😊😂❤🎉😊
Great video! Vålerenga vs Lillestrøm is also a fight between club philosophies. VIF is owned by a rich dude, they sold their stadium name to the owner's business, and also they play on plastic (artificial grass). LSK is owned by their members, the stadium name is holy and of course football is played on grass. Hater Vålerenga, elsker Lillestrøm!💛🖤
@StuntPegg You are welcome to Åråsen, Lillestrøm at any home match you like! We'll even get you a Lillestrøm shirt for you to proudly wear like the rest of us do!
Ellers bra spelt!
