The fact that Kuzco knows about Yzma's secret lab and doesn't care really shows that he doesn't believe she'd hurt him. Ironically, Yzma never considered harming Kuzco until he fairly fired her(and Kronk accidentally suggested it).
This movie was supposed to be a musical called the kingdom of the sun and Yzma actually had a villain song called snuff out the light! I think the storyboard/concept art is on youtube
In the original ending, Kuzco was supposed to build his summer palace on the nearby hill as planned. They changed it because they thought it sent the message he didn't learn anything.
this whole movie is just disney throwing all the nonsense disney logic of their movies in your face but as jokes, also with an amazing story, and turns out it's a CLASSIC! How can you not love this movie?
The humor in this movie is done so perfectly cause of David Spade. I don’t think anyone else could have pulled it off the way he did. Fun fact: Wendie Malick who did the voice of Patcha’s wife was in the TV show Just Shoot Me with David Spade
Kronk’s New Groove is pretty good in my opinion. Some other Disney sequels I’d recommend are The Lion King 2, Bambi 2, Cinderella 3, The Return of Jafar, as well as Aladdin and the King of Thieves, and Peter Pan: Return to Neverland.
This Disney film is comedy gold, I love it! To think that the story was originally something different, with a different title at that (reminds me of the origin of The Lion King).
One of the most underrated Disney original movies, right up there with Meet the Robinsons(For different reasons of course), Lilo and Stitch and Brother Bear The last 2 I really hope you watch on the channel
My head cannon about the head busts of Kuzco is that Kuzco ordered Yzma to have them mass produced to have around the palace, but then flippantly changed his mind when they got there and told Yzma to get rid of them and she, being livid about this, smashed one out of spite and realized how cathartic it was, so she just kept them for herself to smash whenever Kuzco did something to piss her off. Heck, she probably had to buy more….
Creepy fact, the only animals that talk are people that have been turned into that animal or bug. So, 8:15 that's a person that's been turned into a fly and was eaten alive. Lol just thought you'd like to know
you HAVE to check out yzma’s song that was cut from the movie (the entire original film premise was scrapped so the song went with it) called *Snuff Out The Light*‼️ it’s an entire bop
For answer to your two questions : First, Kuzco is turn into a llama because in this time and this country, llamas were bred for their wool. Second, a youtuber of my country (France) says in a video, it's because of Yzma if Kuzco is like that and he will finish like her if he hadn't meet Pacha. Remember, she says she raised him. About the lever scene, I'm sorry but the french version is better because Yzma shouts " Not this oooone !!!! " when she fells
'Kronk's New Groove' YES!!!! Please watch it. It's one of the rare direct to DVD movie sequels that is actually great. Love it. 💖💖💖 I went to see this in theaters when it came out and it immediately became one of my favorite animated films. It's so hilarious, and the cast was amazing. It's so underrated. Thanks for reacting to it.
I love the scene where they ask how the hag and Kronk got there first and neither of them know, lol. Funny enough, it's been my favorite part of the movie for around two decades. That's just how good it is.
Fun fact yzma had a song called snuff out the light but it was cut from the film because her motivation and character was changed she was originally a villainous sorceress out to block out earth’s view of the sun in order to restore her youth and gain immortality
I love how Eartha Kitt plays the voice of izma. If you don't know who she is or was I should say, she was the 1st colored Catwoman on Batman and had the best purr out there. RIP Eartha Kitt.
This is my first time in years seeing this movie and to be honest I remembered not really caring for it but watching this made me think how did I used to think that. Because this movie is really good.
Even when the character looks like Yzma, Eartha Kitt’s voice seduces the hell outta me every time. RIP to the OG “Santa Baby” singer and the definitive Catwoman (yeah I said it).
this movie was originally going to be a musical called kingdom of the sun. it is loosely based off the emperors new clothes by Hans christian Anderson, but it went through an insane rewrite the making of video that delves into everything you can watch on RU-vid .
Brought to you by Disney starring David Spade and John Goodman with Ertha Kitt and Patrick Warburton in this movie about an emperor who is a spoiled brat and gets transformed into a llama
Man I remember buying this movie from Family Video on VHS, (that's a blue-ray from the 90s for the kids out there), and I remember watching it with my best childhood friend and our favorite scene was when the kids argued "Yeah huh!" "Nu-uh!" and in the middle yelled "Night mom!" and went back to arguing. My friend and I used to drive our parents crazy doing that together, taking turns on who did yes huh and nu-uh lol
You ever hear that the theory turned cannon that the talking fly was kuzcos father? That Yzma turned him into a fly which is why the fly is the only talking creature other than kuzco himself. (And Yzma)
Brought to you by Disney starring David Spade and John Goodman as Emperor Kuzko and Pacha about a spoiled brat of a man and the village leader who must work together to change him back
As a kid, when I was standing at the edge of my pool, (deep end of it) my tooth fell out and into the pool No nickel from the Tooth fairy for THAT tooth!
I love how he brought up “why a llama?” Made me think… I think it’s partly because they are part of this empire’s agricultural assets. Also…llamas (excluding a few) are MEAN! Kuzco in the beginning…is extremely mean! Allegory maybe?
I like this movie and I seen it when I was little and it's my favorite movie from my childhood and it's a good movie but not funny about this movie and it's still a good movie but not funny about this movie and do you agree with me about what I say
There is actually kind of an explanation for why Kuzco is as selfish as he is during the opening credits and the scene where Yzma is crushing the busts of his head. Throughout the intro it's very clear that Kuzco has grown up with every want he could possibly have fulfilled by those around him because of his status feeding the thought that the world revolves around him. And in the scene with Yzma she says, "I practically raised him." and Kronk points out the irony that he treated her as expendable given how he was raised. It also implies that Kuzco's main role model was Yzma who is herself extremely self-centered, the vain and prideful nature is reflected almost like a mirror between her and Kuzco. It's the main reason they butted heads was because their selfishness clashed, ironic, as Kronk implied, since she taught him to be so.
Favorite Disney animated movie EVER! I could recite it from the beginning to end! Also I know there not Christmas movies but could you watch the Hunger Games Series? I just got done watching them and they are awesome! Thank you!
I think there's a theory where Yzma served Kuzco's father and killed him expecting she would get the kingdom before finding out it would go to his son Edit: also apparently Chicha, Pacha's wife, was the first animated on-screen pregnant woman they did.
This movie was made based on the peruvian culture about Incas that were like emperors, and also here on some parts of the country one of the most representative animals are llamas.
Yzma: *plans to turn Kuzco into a flea, put him in a box, put the box in another box, mail it to herself, then smash it with a hammer* Me: Just smash him after you've turned him into a flea, lady!
I know there's the emperor's new school series he was in, but it never showed his backstory of why he was like this spoiled brat. I guessed it was the entitlement of growing up getting everything he's ever wanted so he's never had to look at life through someone elses and so he didn't have too and he was selfish.
That one little scene is why you hate spiders? My dad watched Arachnophobia with me in the room when I was a little tyke. Talking spider based horror before I was 7. Yeah... life long phobia.
I don't think it's been said already, but I would imagine they went with llama for Kuzko's transformation because of the fact these guys are Incas and llamas are largely associated with the ancient civilisation - I might be wrong though
17:20 the "it's Disney" argument doesn't really work here, they've had villains (and even non-villains) falling to their actual death often enough XD Also you're a Kronk fan but never checked out the sequel Kronk's New Groove?! Damn, hope you do, it's actually pretty good ^^
Out of all the animals, why did they choose a llama? I answer you because disney created the Empero's New Groove inspired in my country Peru. And they had to choose an animal that represents my culture, for example if they are going to make a movie inspired by China they are not going to choose to feature a kangaroo as the main character, I am your huge fan by the way
