Haley is my Wolf Queen! She has amazing chemistry with both Klaus and Elijah. I adore how she relates to people. Hayley is the Caroline Forbes of THE ORIGINALS.

Even back in TVD when Klaus and Hayley first met you could tell there was a connection there beyond the physical. He seemed amused by her and they had kind of a bantery thing going on. I love the way it’s evolved in a caring, platonic way when it could’ve gone the cliche love triangle route.

The development of the characters and their relationships in the originals was amazing 🤝🏾

the relationships in this show are something entirely different from anything I’ve ever seen and I love how it differs from tvd. the deepest of the relationships aren’t romantic. like klaus and marcels ”father/son” bond is amazing, klaus’ trauma from mikael and him explaining why he calls him father and then klaus and hayleys relationship is one of my favorite things I’ve ever seen on tv. it’s so complex but deep and I can’t find a word for it like they’re not friends or lovers but just two kindred tortured spirits having a child together and doing everything they can so that their daughters life would be better than theirs😭

I think the fact that Klaus IS growing and changing for the better is what makes Elijah so hesitant to upset the delicate emotional balance they've achieved by getting together with Hayley. He couldn't resist kissing her this once because she almost died and it shook him to the core, but his duty to redeem Klaus popped back up again and he left. So frustrating!!! Klaus as he is vs Mikael is an interesting match up. Klaus isn't the same internally broken boy he was when he finally killed his father in TVD, and now he has something more to live for than he ever did before - his daughter. I think that's why Mikael was trying to kill Hayley and the baby, in order to wound Klaus and have some revenge for his death. I also wonder if the idea of the baby being "an abomination" to the ancestors didn't originate with Mikael; because he hates Klaus and was married to a witch it's possible that he was able to communicate the idea somehow. But there's no way Mikael can succeed with both Klaus AND Elijah against him, and if Rebekah came back I believe they'd be unstoppable in protecting Hayley and the baby. Also, I'm like you, Sofie, I melt a lot at the sight of Klaus as a dad. That look on his face is so different from what we've ever seen before that I know he's going to be so careful not to be like his father. I can't remember seeing such a look of pure love from him, even when he was looking at Caroline, than the look he had for his daughter. And I'm so glad it's a daughter! Klaus has always been more open towards females than he ever has been with males so I believe it will make his changes come easier.

My Klayley heart

I don’t think Genevieve actually wants to kill Klaus’ baby or even Hayley. Remember she was a nurse back in the 20’s, she cares about human life. The reason she was an antagonist was because of her beef with Rebekah and Marcel, which is valid. Right now she’s fighting against her own will to live and not wanting to take an innocent life.

Marcel and Klaus’ relationship is soooo complex. There’s so many layers you could dig into and the constant back and forth between them just makes sense because there’s so much love and so much anger there between two people who really don’t know how to talk through their feelings.

People usually say cami and caroline changed Klaus, while all both have played a part in it, i think hayley had more impact on him

what's a family drama without a mean old dad?

As much as I love Hayley she is overpowered. How is she taking on Mikael like that when Elijah struggles to get even one hit? Even Klaus struggles against Mikael but Haley (a wolf) can stand against him like that. One of the small things I didn't like

I love your reactions and mean this in the most constructive way possible, you get a little too quick to hit pause repeatedly during the best scenes. I know it's because you are excited, but it makes it a bit jarring to watch.

I know it is your channel and you can do what you want, but the pauses every 3 seconds is very distracting.
